The host called me & said he would pick us up at the airport, he didn’t. He never even sent me a email or an address or anything. Thankfully a cab driver asked where I was going & luckily I remembered his name & another driver gave her his #. When we got there, he told her the door was unlocked, after fighting with the door we finally got in. The door does not lock. I looked around & thought surely I had the wrong place, this was an 8’ x 30’ rectangle that was just remodeled by a homeless person. He arrived 10 min later & I asked if this was the correct place. He told me to look at he pics. I realized after looking at the carefully taken pics, I was dooped! We were very tired from our from our 17 hr expedition getting there so we went straight to bed, after tying rope on the door knobs to keep anyone else out. Sure enough, an hour later, someone is at the door, trying to get in & knocking. I came to the door & looked through the glass & he said, “sorry, I didn’t know y’all were staying here!” Freaked out over this, we attempted to find something else. Nothing with such a short notice. He rented me his personal car & was nowhere around for me to get my deposit back. You do not want to ruin your Bahama vacation by renting here. I am an auto mechanic, my standards are not that high! Breakers missing, lines on the TV, no shower door, sink about to fall, 3' drop at the end of steps leading to beach. Kayaks deflated, mosquitoes biting all night cause door does not seal at the top.
