Augusta Lucilla Palace Reviews

This was my second stay at the Lucilla Palace Hotel, and just like last time, I was able to store my luggage when I arrived early. When I checked in, they specifically offered to upgrade me to a larger room. After I agreed, they took me to the Hive (Hive Hotel) next door. The room was indeed much bigger than before, and both are 4-star hotels. The air conditioning was powerful, and it was clean and hygienic. I only took a picture of the TV in the room, and it was actually playing CCTV's Xinwen Lianbo (news program), haha!

The hotel's biggest advantage is its excellent location! It's a five-minute walk from Termini train station, and you can easily walk to Piazza della Repubblica or take the metro to almost all of Rome's famous attractions. The room isn't huge, but it's very clean. You can even ask the front desk for a kettle to make hot water! The breakfast selection is decent, with bread, various cold cuts, simple vegetables, and fruit.

The room was incredibly small, barely fitting a suitcase. The elevator was freely accessible, with no keycard needed, which felt very unsafe for a city like Rome. I had to barricade the door with a chair and my luggage when I slept because the door couldn't even be deadbolted! For nearly 2000 a night, this was a rip-off. I suggest Ctrip implements stricter and more thorough screening for overseas hotels to protect consumer interests.

We were extremely satisfied with our stay. We booked a 4 people room,and it was very spacious. The air conditioning was quiet, and the safe box was large enough to fit a laptop. The location was excellent as well—less than a 10-minute walk from the train station, with plenty of restaurants nearby. We arrived in the morning, and the hotel kindly stored our luggage free of charge. We could also refill our water bottles at the restaurant whenever we wanted. The breakfast was plentiful and offered a great variety of choices. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel!

Very nice location. Clean. City vibe. Surrounded by restaurants and shops. Great transportation access. Airport service was prompted.

The stay was as expected. Normal room, nothing special. We stayed in Rome for two days and the location is really good, so I recommend it.

Fantastic choice. We rebooked for after our cruise. Great breakfast. Something for everyone. Super close to Termini and to all the tourist areas.

This hotel is located near the train station in the heart of Rome. The staff were very friendly, but the room was quite small, and the mattress was exceptionally soft – a sponge mattress, which made for a not-so-great sleep. Perhaps it was also because the room was so small that breathing felt a bit constricted. Overall, the hotel is still good, and for the price point, finding a hotel like this is quite satisfying. However, I strongly advise against this hotel for anyone with sleep problems, breathing difficulties, or back issues, as all the beds have the same incredibly soft sponge mattresses, which would be particularly uncomfortable for them.

I've been staying in this hotel twice, and I would never regret it. So clean, well-equipped, good location and well-behaved staff. What I love about this hotel is that despite it being located in the central part of Rome, it's so quiet.

Great location, only a five-minute walk from the train station, and there are plenty of restaurants downstairs. The service was excellent and the bedding was very comfortable. The only downside is that the decor is a bit dated.

Great hotel! The location is fantastic, making it easy to get around. The massage mattress was a huge plus – perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Plus, the check-in and check-out times are more generous than other hotels.

The room was a bit small and dated, but given the location, it's understandable. The balcony view was quite nice, and the facilities were complete. It's less than a 15-minute walk from the train station, and under 10 minutes if you don't have luggage.
