We stayed at hu Roma Camping in Town as a couple in a bungalow during the summer, and overall we really enjoyed the experience. The best part is definitely the territory itself – it's spacious, green, and has a relaxed holiday feel that you don't usually get in a city like Rome. The pool was a lifesaver after long, hot days of sightseeing, and we really appreciated having shops and cafes right on site so we didn't have to go far for basic needs .
The reception was open 24/7 and the staff were genuinely helpful with all sorts of questions, which made things much easier. There's also a shuttle service to the Vatican and public transport options right outside, so getting into the centre of Rome was straightforward .
The bungalow was basic but had everything we needed – air conditioning was a huge bonus during the summer heat.
If I had to mention one minor thing, it's that the water in the shower was on the cooler side. To be honest though, with the hot weather we were having, we actually ended up seeing it as a plus – it was refreshing rather than a problem!
The shared spaces were well-maintained.
It was a bit far from the main attractions, but public transport options meant we didn't mind the distance.
If you're looking for a luxury hotel with fine dining, this probably isn't it – but for a comfortable, affordable stay with good facilities and a relaxed vibe, we'd absolutely recommend it.
