"Located in Wan Chai, the hotel boasts a great location and has been recently renovated. The room isn't huge, but it's fully functional and doesn't feel cramped for two people; it's quite comfortable. The soundproofing in the room is also good. One thing I couldn't quite understand is why, during the renovation, they didn't update the charging outlets to be more universal. I still needed an adapter for my Apple devices, and it was easy to accidentally hit the switch, which would stop the charging."

Hotel near Tsim Sha Tsui,Hong Kong
The Hotel ICON is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Hotel ICON is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Hong Kong. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 2km from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and 32km from Hong Kong International Airport. Transportation around the city is also convenient, with Hung Hom Metro Station within walking distance. With multiple attractions nearby including Avenue of Stars HK, Hong Kong Science Museum and Hong Kong Museum of History, guests will find plenty to keep themselves occupied. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Our guests rate this hotel as one of the best hotels for cleanliness. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"🏨 First Impression: The lobby is green, and my heart feels light! 🛏️ Guest Room: Fish-shaped floor, a toilet tucked in the corner, and a fridge full of ”freebies.” The first thing I saw upon entering was sunshine streaming through the windows. On the 15th floor, not too high, not too low. There was a huge black leather lounge chair by the window, practically begging you to lie back, put your feet up, and close your eyes to soak in the sun. And that's exactly what I did – the sunlight poured through the glass, warming me up. I just lay there, not thinking about anything. This must be what they call 'stealing a moment of leisure from a busy life.' The bathroom layout was cleverly designed – the toilet was tucked away in the very corner, out of the way but perfectly accessible. The shower floor had a fish-scale pattern, which was both non-slip and attractive. It would be even more perfect if the scales were embossed (reducing slip risk even further!). But the best part was the mini-fridge. I was about to check the price list when I saw the card next to it: ”All items are complimentary.” It wasn't a case of one free bottle and then charging for the rest. The entire fridge was free. At that moment, my rating for this hotel instantly shot up by 20 points. 🌊 The Divine 9th Floor: Bar + Pool + Lounge Chairs = I didn't want to leave! The open-air swimming pool is right next to the bar. 🚭 The Strictest Rule: Smoking fine of HKD 3000. There was a sign in the room: ”Smoking fine HKD 3000.” It wasn't a 'friendly reminder'; it was clearly stated in black and white, impossible to miss. Why do I appreciate this? Because this rule completely eliminates smoke odors. You don't have to worry about opening your door to a blast of second-hand smoke, or waking up with your hair smelling like an ashtray. It's because of the sunshine, the greenery, the free mini-fridge, the perfectly placed toilet in the corner, the ability to swim on the 9th floor with a sea breeze, and the bar where you can hold video conferences – all these things combined make for a truly comfortable stay. The facilities might not be the newest, but everything feels 'thoughtful.' It's one of those hotels where theory and practice merge – what the designer envisioned, the staff delivered, and it all translates into an excellent guest experience. I'll most likely stay here again on my next visit to Hong Kong."

"If I'm looking for convenient transportation in Hong Kong, I'll definitely choose this hotel on Hong Kong Island. I don't really mind the facilities; the main thing is that transportation is incredibly convenient, and there are plenty of dining options downstairs. It's great for getting anywhere. The housekeeping in Hong Kong is very thorough; even unnoticed corners are quite clean. This time, I was very satisfied with the front desk service. Initially, I was assigned a connecting room, and no one had checked into the adjacent room yet. I had already finished my normal routine and went to bed around 11 PM when the next-door guests checked in and started playing music. I couldn't believe someone could be so happy and loud after checking in. Since I couldn't sleep, I went to the front desk to talk to them. They upgraded me to an executive room, which was incredibly spacious, and I had a great night's sleep. Many thanks! Actually, I've stayed at this hotel many times. Even though it's on Hong Kong Island, it's very quiet. Despite the hustle and bustle downstairs, it doesn't feel noisy. It's truly rare to find a hotel with such convenient access that can also maintain a quiet environment. I really love it!"

"Facilities: The hotel facilities are just average, and the hotel is quite old. This seems to be pretty standard for hotels in Hong Kong. Hygiene: The hotel hygiene is okay, but I don't understand why they only clean once if you stay for several days, or once every two days. Environment: It's alright. Service: The hotel service isn't great. I stay in Hong Kong frequently, and the service here is quite subpar. The luggage storage was the most troublesome part."

I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit."

"It's about a 10-minute walk from Terminal 1. The hotel is quite large, and the rooms are spacious by Hong Kong standards. There are purified water dispensers along the corridors where you can refill your bottle. Breakfast was good, with changfen, and made-to-order omelets and noodles, though the auntie making them was a bit lukewarm in her attitude. Other than that, everything else was pretty good, and you can see the airport from the room."

"Getting there: Many people mentioned its proximity. From Wan Chai MTR Exit A1, as some Trip.com users said, you'll see a McDonald's opposite. Turn right and keep walking, and the hotel will be on the other side of the road. From Exhibition Centre MTR Exit A3, the footbridge network is extensive. It's best to ask for directions, but it's roughly turning left at the first exit, going into a mall-like area, then continuing until you reach the hotel's footbridge. Outside, there are only up escalators, no down. Be careful to enter through the automatic doors of the building connected by the footbridge; there's a hotel sign. Follow the signs until you reach the hotel's ground-floor restaurant. The front desk is on the G floor, by the way. The breakfast was incredibly delicious and varied, with all my favorite Western and dim sum options. The pudding was so good! 😋 Note that the milk and soy milk are served cold. Equipment-wise, everyone needs to be aware: the Type-C charging port was broken! Only one USB port worked; the others were all faulty!!! I couldn't charge my power bank; I had to charge my phone first, then the power bank. The staff didn't understand me, and after explaining for a while, I asked to change rooms, but they replied that most rooms have broken outlets... Finally, they gave me a standard adapter... I just wonder what good that did. In the end, I had to cross the road to a computer store and pay 30 HKD for a USB to Type-C adapter, which was ridiculously expensive. On Pinduoduo in mainland China, it's just a few kuai, and on JD.com, it's about ten. I even checked out the Wan Chai computer center and some street shops, and they all had similar prices... The room description said it had a bathtub, but it didn't, so I brought my bath liner and bath bomb for nothing! However, the shower had really hot and strong water, which was good. The staff were all very friendly! 👍"

"This is a place I'd definitely book again. I was pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade to a sea view, and the hot tub facing the ocean was even better than what you'd find at a Disney hotel. It's really close to Disneyland, and they offer free shuttle buses at 9 AM and 10 AM, which perfectly aligns with park opening times, so there's no need to arrange separate transportation. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of delicious options, fresh ingredients, and high-quality choices like chia seeds. The only minor inconvenience was having to ask for ice separately, perhaps because it's winter; I'll have to see if that's the case in summer. Overall, this eco-friendly island resort was incredibly comfortable, and I really wish I could have stayed an extra day."
