Gili Trawangan Hotels with Rooftop Pools

"Amazing hotel! Everything is super clean and well-maintained it feels like the place is regularly updated. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the linens are always fresh and clean. The room has everything you need: tea, coffee, and drinking water. There’s also a water dispenser on the floor, which is very convenient. The pool is clean, and there’s direct access to the sea. In the evenings, they even show movies such a nice touch! The staff is polite, friendly, and always ready to help. Breakfast is only 100,000 IDR and it’s a full buffet fish, meat, vegetables, tea, coffee, waffles if you like something sweet, and a couple of muffins are always available. For this price, the service is simply outstanding! Perfect for a romantic getaway, a family trip, or a vacation with friends. I highly recommend this hotel a true gem by the sea. More to come! 😊"

"This hotel is really great! It offers excellent value for money. It's beachfront, with the beach and boats just across the road. The rooms are decent, although we ended up with one right at the very end of the hotel, so it was quite a walk to get there, but that wasn't a problem. Breakfasts are good, with plenty of options. We only used the large pool, which was fantastic and clean; there's also a deeper pool (2.2m) for diving. The grounds are beautiful, and there are lots of cafes and bars nearby, but we had dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The prices there were more reasonable than elsewhere. Every evening, there's also a BBQ dinner on the beach for 250k per person (drinks not included), where they grill seafood right in front of you. It was charming. For excursions, we took a 5-hour snorkeling trip around the Gili islands, which we enjoyed. The hotel also offers bike rentals for half a day (25k) and a full day (50k). The bikes were a bit worn from age, but comfortable to ride – we cycled around the entire island on our first day. On the second day, we rented a scooter for 150k for half a day. We didn't ride the horses; we felt sorry for them. Overall, everything was superb! We'll definitely be back to Gili T next year!"

"Excellent value for money over the New Year holidays. We stayed for 3 days. The bikes were great for an extra 50k. The pool was clean, the room cozy, and the garden green. They put us on the 2nd floor in the furthest room, which was a fantastic decision as it was quiet and far from the pool (the noise from 2nd-floor guests would likely be audible on the 1st floor). Highly recommend! 👍"

"The hotel is conveniently located right next to the port. It's on a very lively street, with lots of tourists, shops, cafes, and even horses – always bustling with activity. The breakfasts are fantastic – a lavish buffet plus you can order additional dishes to be prepared. Truly among the best! The rooms are incredibly clean and beautiful. The hotel's design gets an A+! 🤓"

"Trawangan Oasis is a beautiful resort with two lovely big swimming pools. We stayed in a bungalow which was amazing. The beds said they were doubles but they’re not doubles. They were actually bigger than a king-size bed which we were very happy with. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also had a spa massage which we felt relieved and refreshed after, we also ate at the hotel which was reasonable prices next to nothing for most meals and breakfast was included and fruit juice and coffee which just set us up for the day we were definitely go back to visit. Would like to thank Mark the Aussie owner was very friendly and informative about the island. And they have a couple of house pets Donald the duck that you can see in the pool at the swims with you really friendly and a cat called catty.🫶🏻🙏🏻 And how could I forget buzz the Barman best Bowman on the island.😎"

"We spent a week in this beautiful place and left it with sadness. The hotel is very beautifully decorated, the pool area is well-designed and pleased with the sight. We got in the days of the celebration of Muslim holidays, evening singing prayers only added this place a special charm, sitting at night at the pool and looking at the star sky they sounded somehow magical... The location is very successful, right opposite is the beach and the turtle point. From the pier to go near, we walked and with the suitcases in a rushing step in 15 minutes. Breakfast on the menu for choice and quite delicious. The guests come beautiful kittens 🐈 😊 This place makes its staff very responsive and caring. You feel expensive and long-awaited. Thank you to all staff for hospitality and care, we will surely return to you again ❤️"

"Location: Private and beautiful beach. Not great for swimming or snorkeling (due to the tide) but beautiful for sunsets. In general it's in a more quiet, less crowded area. However, there are lots of restos, beach cinemas, and a small grocery store in walking distance. It takes ~15-20min to drive to the other side of the island where the harbor, the night market, and lots of bars are located. Rooms: Spacious. Clean. Everything as described. Comfortable beds (mattresses are not extremely soft, but rather a bit hard). The terrace is really nice. Food: Breakfast was very delicious. It's not buffet, but the portions are really good and definitely sufficient. Every breakfast includes tea/coffee, juice, water, and pastry. Service: All staff was overly kind and friendly. Room service up to 2 times a day (with homemade cookies every night). Bikes are for rent - prices are the same as everywhere else. Bikes are a bit run down - but so are most bikes that we've seen on the island. We recommend staying at the hotel."

"Wonderful hotel! Beautiful rooms with a spacious bathroom! Helpful staff. Delicious breakfasts. The hotel is conveniently located—there are no noisy clubs nearby. You can rent an electric bike or bicycle at the hotel—very convenient 👌🏻 I would definitely stay again, but it was time to go. I highly recommend this hotel."

"All Hotel location is good in gili island ,they dont have own swimming pool , and restaurant, if you want to swim in pool go to the nearest Hula restaurant , and use the pool , and that not a big , Hotel staff attitude is not polite ,also if you booked hotel by any third party like a any website or app or agent, they no anymore help to you , for go to gili island very few boat available in morning only from Bali , i have missed the time , and requested for the extends the date for the next day ,and also rooms are available that time , but hotel management staff Said you have booked tickets from the third party ”we can't help anymore ” So I suggest the tourist, if you want too go gili please make sure fastboat available of not , after that book the hotel"

"Cocana Resort truly deserves attention, and in this review, I'd like to detail all the pros and cons that management could address. Let's start with the pros: 1. **Location:** The hotel is perfectly situated on the opposite side of the port. There's an excellent supermarket with marked prices (!) and many great restaurants nearby. 2. **Beach Club:** The beach club is also quite good. It's nice that towels are always laid out on the sunbeds, so you don't have to search for them. The sand is excellent, but entering the water (like everywhere on Gili) requires coral shoes. 3. **Room with Pool Access:** I booked a room with pool access, and it was a good choice. The room itself is a bit dated, but overall, everything is fine. 4. **Staff:** The staff are wonderful people, always helpful and informative. Special thanks to Manager Laura – she is a true professional. 5. **Welcome Amenity:** They arranged a nice present in our room upon arrival. 6. **Breakfast:** The breakfasts are a masterpiece! A la carte plus buffet and unlimited drink orders (freshly squeezed juices, coffee) – definitely 10/10. Now for the cons: 1. **Hidden Costs:** When you stay at a hotel that costs four times more than similar options, it's simply ridiculous that bikes and other small amenities aren't free. Renting a bike for $1 an hour – seriously? Why not just include it in the stay? The same goes for masks, snorkels, and other water equipment. Similarly, with the minibar – at hotels of this caliber, at least the first minibar refill is complimentary – but not here. 2. **Breakfast Incident:** There was another incident at breakfast – I found a large piece of paper in my croissant. It wasn't a major issue, but the restaurant manager apologized profusely and offered a 10% discount on dinner 🤣. This was, of course, very amusing – a simple apology would have been sufficient instead of such an offer. So, my advice to the management is to simply fix these small things and don't try to squeeze out an extra couple of bucks – it spoils the experience. Otherwise, the hotel is superb, and I genuinely want to return."
