San Francisco Hotels with Rooftop Pools

"We had an excellent stay at The Handerley hotel. It is well located, feels safe and has comfortable accommodation. All staff members were welcoming and professional. Whilst we stayed in the older part of the hotel, we had no issues with our room or the facilities. Our only suggestion would be allowing access to a TV guide, as the current setup didn’t allow us to view the current and next show for each channel."

"The location of the hotel is really great, very close to the lively Pier 39 and within walking distance; there is a bus stop at the door, which goes directly to the Golden Gate Bridge. You can pay cash on the bus, which is $3 for a single trip and $5.5 for a day ticket; the tram starting point is not far away and within walking distance. You can buy tickets by swiping a credit card at a machine. It is recommended to buy a day ticket for $14, which allows you to ride the tram and all public buses freely. Due to flight reasons, we arrived at the hotel at 12 noon. The guy at the front desk was very good and checked us into the room directly. The hotel breakfast is very rich. The only drawback is the poor sound insulation. The footsteps upstairs and the voices next door can be clearly heard."

"The hotel location is good, and the room had a great view of the city. There is trader joes and whole food nearby. Water dispenser and microwave is available at the basement of the hotel which was quite convenient"

"I had some initial problem with my booking but there were very good to solve them . Be aware there are renovation works happening at the time of this review and it can get noisy . The hotel and trip.com helped me with my feedback."

"There is a parking lot, but the surrounding environment is very general. The city of San Francisco is very general. Actually, I think it may be with an old name. There are a lot of tramps nearby. For safety reasons, it is recommended to go to la. Living better, playing is also, San Francisco Chinatown is very messy"

"Be sure to view the Hotel Caza website for the extensive list of additional fees associated with the booking (destination fee, parking, etc). The prices are very transparent on the site and aren’t as clear booking through third party. This hotel has incredible customer service! The front desk ambassadors are warm and welcoming from check-in to check-out. Vanessa and her colleague truly provide world class customer service. She provided 10-15% off coupons for restaurants on the pier. We had a fantastic time for my mother’s birthday in San Francisco and it would not have been the same with another hotel. The location of Hotel Caza is near Fishermans Wharf. It is walkable to many attractions such as the Coit Tower, Ghirardelli’s, the piers, etc. There are an abundance of great restaurants nearby. We had a delicious brunch next door at “Eight am” cafe. Other attractions are a bit further out and require transportation such as Golden Gate Park, Sausalito, and redwood forests. This is a very family oriented hotel. There are many games in the lobby for children and adults. Bicycles to peruse the city are provided on a first come first serve basis each morning. The swimming pool is on the smaller side and always has kids in it. The evening cookies are packaged and not freshly baked. The lobby has an overpowering smell of perfume. Overall, we had an amazing time at this hotel and highly recommend it for family vacations!"

"The price is quite good and the location is not bad, near BART, but the area is full of homeless, and the streets not very clean, and the neighborhood appears to be a hub for drug dealing. It doesn't feel too unsafe but it is not the most beautiful part of SF for sure. For the price paid, the hotel is quite beautiful and the rooms are specious and well furnished. The swimming pool is a nice touch. Maybe I was unlucky but could not sleep much in my room: at 4:30am the trash was collected from the street below my room and it was very very very loud. At 5:30am there was street cleaning... again quite loud. Not sure I will go back... "

"1. Location: I heard it's near a slum area so there are some homeless people nearby, but the hotel staff said they are harmless. 2. Distance from the subway: Civic center is very close, and it only takes less than five minutes to walk there. There is also a bus to the airport! ＊Taking the bus is cheaper (5-6 USD) / the subway is more expensive (12-13 USD) 3. The furnishings in the room look very comfortable, and there are sofas and tables, which are great 👍🏼 but the bed 🛏️ is a downside… It feels a bit stretched, and it’s uncomfortable to lie down 😞 It feels like the body can’t support it 4. The hotel breakfast is next to the counter on the first floor. There are simple bread, croissants, pastries, coffee and fruits that can be taken back to the room. 5. The hotel staff are very friendly 👍🏼 6. Parking is available but there is a fee 7. Overall, the accommodation fee is not cheap, with both advantages and disadvantages. I may look for other hotels to experience more accommodation"
