Hotel Best Roquetas

Can’t really say anything too bad about the hotel, it was very clean, our rooms were maybe a little dated but so spacious and really comfortable with a very large patio area just missing a kettle. The pool area was immaculately cleaned every morning whilst we all stood waiting to get our beds (you aren’t allowed to put towels down until after 9am although it doesn’t stop some trying) the pool was large with a couple slides that were great fun. Crazy golf and giant chess kept my husband and boys more than occupied and it was great having that beach view. Unfortunately for me, looking slightly different due to a health condition meant that I was just met with some extremely rude people (not just in the hotel but out and about too) it seemed the hotel was mainly full of Spanish tourists which is great they obviously enjoy it there, except they were so rude, leaving double buggy’s parked in our doorway with babies in, crying and watching videos on mobile phone while parents sat smoking on their balcony and the other kids running up and down the hall until 12:30am screaming, one drunk man chasing my daughter (20 yo) at night through the hotel, changing of full of poo nappies at the side of us and leaving said nappy in full view on the floor! But the amount of awful, blatant stares has put me off ever visiting that area again. I’m so grateful to have been somewhere nice before this where I was treated so well otherwise this may have put me off going abroad altogether.

The location was ideal for us, located not too far from the Nature Reserve allowing us to view the Flamingos in a natural environment ( about a 25 minute walk away), near bars and restaurants, very close to the beach. We had booked a double sea view room, which was great with plenty of space. The room was cleaned every day. We were half board enjoying both buffet style breakfast and evening meals with a great selection of food, we particularly enjoyed the desserts! This allowed us to try out the local eateries at lunch time. We have stayed at this hotel a few times and are always happy to return being greeted with friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is a little dated which price and ratings reflect.

This holiday is definetly 3 star not four ..rooms bit dated.Positives had a see view and there were lots of sunbeds available even though busy there..no kettle in room had to pay 20euro deposit.we were half board no cups had to buy tea/coffee not supplied with kettle..not able to buy snacks in hotel 18 euros if want lunch.lots spanish french there.salad basic although most four stars get variety.not much food variety for kids quite poor..one night was good sliced pork shrimps crab next few nights poor. No water with meals have to pay each time which is unusual.The fridge in the room on the first night there were two bottles pop and one small water never stocked up again.entertainment in one big lounge no seats if you have food which is 7.30pm.All seating areas very basic..pool was lovely very nice redort but would stay in better hotel.

Lovely clean hotel, large rooms with two double beds. Rooms cleaned daily and clean towels left when needed. Good choice of food, sometimes could do with being warmer. The animation team was more towards Spanish guests. Lots of older Spanish guest staying and could be rude when queuing for food. Access to the beach for lovely walks and views. No people rushing to sun beds in morning, always able to get sun beds. More of a quieter area.

Firstly it is a beautiful relaxed location but nothing for English people , the hotel caters only for spanish , food , entertainment every night in spanish , mature older spanish people come here and the staff speak very little English at all , food the same every meal and luke warm , not great at all , rooms lovely and spacious and cleaned daily , the area it's self is very boring , ok if you just want to lay on beach , we were a family of 4 and kids couldn't wait to go home and we've never felt this way when on holiday, which was gutting . Some of spanish very rude. Would not return to this area again , have not enjoyed our experience . Couldn't even find a restaurant that served anything kids would eat or that spoke English .

Stayed here for a week in May and had a lovely relaxing time. Weather was mixed but even on wet days there is the public bus just outside the hotel and for a few Euros you can go in to Roquetas or Almeria where there is a large shopping centre. Also in Almeria is a huge, fortified, Moorish Castle. (The reason we chose the area) well worth the walk and the stairs to visit The hotel is well staffed. Food was good. Rooms were adequate and clean. All Inclusive drinks were good and there were two queues in the bar for service AI and cash sales. There are a few bars and eateries around the hotel as well as a Spar, Chemist and China Products shop. Certainly somewhere we would consider visiting again

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed at the reception – a big thank you to the reception team for their kindness and professionalism. The receptionist was very friendly and took the time to explain all the facilities available in the hotel, which we really appreciated. In the restaurant, the staff was also very kind and attentive. I would especially like to mention Lenuta, who provided us with helpful information about the restaurant and made our experience even better. The animation team was very active and friendly, especially with the guests and children, creating a fun and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the stay. The room was presented very well, clean and comfortable, which added to the overall positive experience. There is just one small thing I would like to mention: instead of serving cocktails and coffee in cardboard cups, which tend to break at the bottom, it would be great to find a better alternative. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and I will definitely return in August! George family

Stayed here for 10 nights end of June/begining of July, food is good with themed nights, we had a 1 bed apartment which was spotlessly clean, cleaners did an amazing job. Pool opened at 9 noticed people waiting to get sunbeds then as soon as the rope was taken down people ran to get beds close to pool, there is plenty of beds though and if you dont want 1 right next to pool you dont have to join the sunbed scrum at 9, i saw people having breakfast then when ropes were taken down they'd charge out of the restaurant towels in hand to get a sunbed! We did get fed up of this and went to the beach quite alot. Good selection of drinks with my favourites ....Malibu & Baileys, also loved their Mojito. Lovely staff on reception, always friendly & dealt with a minor problem we had straight away. Overall enjoyed our stay here & you do get sunbed hoggers at most places so I wouldn't let thst put you off, the only thing I'd really criticise is in my opinion the pool is too small for the size of the hotel & could get crowded at times.
