Prior to leaving, I saw an influx of negative reviews and it made me really concerned. However I must say, this was not representative of our trip. If you go looking you will find negatives, but from our experience the majority of the staff were fantastic, friendly and welcoming. We would attempt to speak the very basic Spanish we know, teaching and encouraging our daughter too.. (hi, bye, good morning, thank you etc) to the staff and they almost always spoke English back. I think trying to speak a little of the language of the country your in, goes a long way with the natives. Were areas of the hotel a little dirty.. yes. But only externally and id argue that's down to the wind which often picked up in the afternoon. Our room was cleaned very well. The pool was cleaned by pump every morning, with life guards using a net to clean big items away periodically. The only thing I'd say here, is during the morning, wed note from our balcony, a cleaner cleaning the deck near the larger pool, but the kids pool deck remained unswept, which with people going in and out, caused a lot of debris (from the palm trees) in the kids pool. As a vegetarian, I didn't find many meat substitutes like vegan sausage etca, although they had a lot of meat free dishes - I'm just fussy. I saw a lot of reviews that referenced the food negatively. I think as a Nation, generally speaking, us Brits are used to fast food, not freshly prepared dishes, so it may not be to everyone's tastes and smaller kids may struggle, although they had chips and nuggets - be it chicken or fish. They had a lovely staple salad selection every evening. A variety of bread and a large range of dishes including live cooking stations. There is an emphasis on fish, but that is to be expected within Spanish cuisine and being on the coast I also saw complaints about the entertained being themed to Spanish guests... I don't know what people were expecting, your in Spain! I think it's great there was entertainment that speaks to the Spanish culture. We attended a disco that was predominately all English singing artists, which my daughter, as well as other kids enjoyed. There was also live acts which also sung in English and Spanish. Within the foyer they played English songs too. They also had bingo, darts and shuffle board to name but a few games to entertain guests. All the animacion staff were absolutely fantastic. Such a credit to the hotel. We were a little disheartened to learn the foam party which was scheduled for Friday was having to be rescheduled due to the weather, but due to my wife's persistent sarcasm and nagging (sorry) they did it, despite the winds and honestly, it was the highlight of our holiday. We are so thankful for the team for still going ahead. I think it's is a great hotel, all things considered. If I could pick it up and move it to a sandy beach I would. But I'm incredibly thankful for the priceless moments and memories this hotel created for my family. I personally w
