This place was by far my favorite accommodation on our trip. The owner was a pleasure to talk to. The location is outside the walls of Rothenburg but it was a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to town. Breakfast was very good. Highly recommend.

Great B&B located just outside the walled village of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Family run hotel and bierstube with that little extra in order to make you plan for next visit. Detwang is merely a few houses gathered in a rural location but still walkable to Rothenburg. Free parking and very friendly senior host who speaks German only. Do not worry though because junior host (Thomas) speaks fluent English and they will ensure that your stay will be “Alles Prima”.

Clean, safe and friendly inn that is very close to the medieval city, but a little less expensive than many of the hotels located inside the Rothenburg town walls. Also provides free and easy to access parking for guests onsite. The innkeepers are incredibly friendly hosts, full of positive energy. The inn itself is nicely decorated, but it's rather basic -- if you're looking for a special romantic inn, this may not be it. But if you want a nice, clean convenient place to stay, easy to reach the town by car or foot, this is a great choice.

Gasthaus Tauberstube is super fijne plek om te verblijven. Op loopasftand Rothenburg ob der Tauber met z’n historische centrum binnen de oude muren. Het ontvangst was goed, de eigenaar is heel vriendelijk, en weet ook veel van de omgeving. De kamer was helemaal perfect, goede bedden, ruim met een zitje, keukentje en badkamer. Beneden is een ruimte met koffie/thee en een koelkast waar bier, wijn en frisdrank staat, zelfbediening en even bijhouden wat je neemt op een briefje. Buiten is een leuk terras waar je lekker kunt zitten tot ‘s avonds laat. Het uitgebreide ontbijt is goed verzorgd. Parkeren kan aan de voor- en achterzijde, en er is een afgesloten ruimte waar je je fietsen kunt stallen en opladen. Veel fiets- en wandelroutes in de buurt. Mocht je een keer dichtbij willen eten, dan is tegenover het gasthaus het Gasthof Swarzes Lamm een aanrader.
