Just left staying at this campground in 2 units, one with bathroom 1 without with 3 kids 2 adults. Very happy all round. Clean, tidy units beds comfy. The pool was exceptionally good on hot days for all. I looked around at the camping kitchen and toilet facility's all very clean tidy and well equipped for tenting and camper vans (I will be back for camping for sure for any of their options to stay). Walk to Lake very close, very handy to the township and other tourist Hotspot. Very friendly receptionist. ... felt definately a cozy camp ground with people coming and going. Will be back thank you

Astray Motel

When I went there was a Chinese receptionist. I don’t know if the boss is Chinese, so the communication is very smooth. A typical motel, the room is simple but enough, it is very close to the parking lot, and the sound insulation is average. If you don’t sleep well, please think twice or prepare earplugs. The location is very good on the main street of Rotorua, not far from the government garden and Polynesian hot springs. If you drive, the parking spaces in the courtyard are limited and you may not be able to park. The parking spaces are full and you can stop on the street. It is recommended that the boss prepare a check-out key box. This can be checked out quickly without ringing the bell every time you go to the front desk
Kowhai Motel Rotorua

My family and I had a 2 night stay and would definitely stay there again. We made last minute reservations over the phone, luckily for us they had an open 2 bedroom unit. The staff are friendly and helpful. The motel is peaceful, with a nice swimming pool outside which was a huge plus for the children. Yes, it isn't a 5 star hotel, but is well taken care of and clean. For me, clean, peaceful and friendly staff is of utmost importance and they have that and another positive is that it is centrally located. I had a wonderful time.

5 minutes walk from the I site of the long-distance bus terminal to the lake. It is a small hotel with an old motel renovated. You can park in front of your room door. I booked there because there was only one room called one bedroom. One room has a queen size bed and a small sofa, a dining table and 4 chairs, and a kitchen in the back. Refrigerator, microwave oven, electric kettle, tableware, pot, etc. The bathroom had a compact shower, toilet and washroom, and the towels were replaced every day. In addition to the main room, there was a long and narrow room with 2 single beds, so I used it for luggage storage. There are two hot springs for two people next to the front desk and you can use them at any time. It is dedicated to warming and there is no washing place. It's a little lukewarm or intense heat depending on the day. I didn't use it, but there is a heated pool. It was crowded with families from the morning. There were many families with good manners, and it was surprisingly quiet with no one making noise at night. The room was really relaxing and I'm glad I made this inn. Good point Location It's not a hotel on the lakeside, but the lake is right next to it. Eat Street and bus terminal are also 5 minutes walk. Polynesian Spa 15 minutes. Rent-a-car shop 30 minutes. Cafe next door. I didn't use it opposite, but it was a hot spring. The eco-friendly room is soft and warm with geothermal heating, and if you leave the laundry on, it will dry quickly and comfortable. The trash can was 3 individual 々 of garbage, resource garbage, and garbage, and they cleaned it every day. The roof of the facility is lined with solar panels. There is no amenities tissue. Coffee service coffee tea is replenished every day and you can enjoy French press coffee. The local milk in the glass bottle is wonderful and delicious and will be replenished if you ask the front desk. It was much better than the coffee at the cafe right next door! All the staff The front desk and the housekeeper were attentive with a smile and stayed comfortably. Unfortunately, there was a barbecue and hell steaming facility on the premises, but there was no shop nearby and it was about 40 minutes walk to the nearest supermarket, so I didn't prepare my own meals.

The location is very good, there are many restaurants, cafes, shopping places within walking distance, and 10 minutes walk from the lake. The parking space needs to be booked in advance, and the parking space at the door is free from 4pm to 10am. The rooms are spacious and tidy, the kitchen facilities are complete, and the kitchen utensils are complete. The front desk service is very good, check-in and check-out is simple and fast.
