La Venelle Saint-Nicolas

The apartment itself is lovely and in a great location. The main issue is with the lack of communication and service of the management company. We were advised that we would be met at the location by the consierge for the key and we had confirmed this by phone the previous evening. Only after we arrived did we notice that a very late message had been sent saying that no one would be available to meet us and that we would have to return to the train station to pick up the key! We had to almost beg to have someone from the office come to finally deliver the key. Departure instructions were vague and we were not advised that we needed to unlock the main entry before depositing the key in the mailbox. As a result in a panicked state we had to awaken a neighbour at 0630 to let us out in order to catch our taxi to the station.

The apartment is lovely, clean, well decorated and very comfortable. Having a parking permit for the car park just a few moments away was a huge bonus. We could walk to shops and restaurants easily. The Cathedral is a 2 minute walk away but the double glazing is so good you cannot hear the bells. Arnaud sent us recommendations for local restaurants, which was helpful. When he came to check everything was in order he said he also has properties in Honfleur. If we holiday in Honfleur we would not hesitate to book one of the apartments Arnaud owns.
