The hotel swimming pool is closed, and the restaurant that was supposed to be open is also closed. The level of service is similar to a general 2-star hotel.
The sanitation is very poor, and only a little toilet paper is left. The bedding is also poor. The coffee provided is expired. Staying in a five-star hotel suite, I feel inferior to the general three-star hotel, very disappointed. Please don't step on thunder

In the 1990's this hotel was probably top notch. Sadly, calling this 5 star is an insult to the rating system. The male receptionist at check-in was very helpful with our parking. This is not at the main entrance where there are steps to lug the luggage and metered parking, but round the back and underground and with no lift The room (a suite) was dated to put it mildly, in decor and facilities. Paint peeing on the interior window ledges etc. We wanted a quiet evening in, and asked.for a room service menu (there are no information details of any services in the room) . The female receptionist was less than friendly when asked to print it. The menu was for meat or veg lasagne and that with a couple of other items not edible to a gluten free person was the limit. My wife asked at the restaurant and was politely told that items from the restaurant were not available for room service. A clearly substandard service. The icing on the cake came the following morning when I asked reception what time the spa opened. On Thursday it was 2pm! Again the lack of information was clear, and had I known this I would have used it on the Wednesday evening. The area around is special, but this hotel has fallen off the wall.

5 star hotel from the 80s. It’s still well maintained but it’s definitely a blast from the past. No gym was disappointing. Very nice staff

Stayed in this hotel for one night on a road trip stopover. The room was mediocre and the hotel staff were pleasant enough. The standout feature is the rooftop bar, unfortunately it was closed for some days during early Sept so we missed that delight. There is no way this hotel qualifies in any shape or form a 5 stars so that aspect was disappointing. The food served in the restaurant in the evening though is a different story, that is truly wonderful and if in the area should not be missed.

Comment être le plus honnête et précis sur cette « expérience » Un voyage dans le temps… Cet endroit à du être merveilleux.. Mais là cest hasbeen à mort, on nous a fourguer une suite car soit disant c’était complet ce qui n’était pas du tout le cas… Moquette, deco, peignoir minable, je fréquente des 5 étoiles à longueur d’année et la ce n’est vraiment pas le cas, aucun service, ni voiturier ni bagages, meme pas on vous accompagne à votre suite, la personne qui vous accueille mal coiffé mal fagoté il était devant l’hôtel il discutait avec des amis lorsque nous sommes arrivés ??? Aucun accueil ! Le petit déjeuner était mangeable ( le pain est bon, bonnes crêpes et bons cakes) le reste bof…. Charcuteries pas terribles et Fromages Brie et Buche de chèvre…??? Au pays du fromage St Nectaire ??? On est bien en Auvergne… Non vraiment faut revoir la copie la…. Par contre au niveau tarif pas de doute ils se sont bien calés sur les vrais 5 étoiles… Donc Arnaque! Désolé 🤦♂️ Bref a éviter en plus l’accès a la piscine c’est une fois par jour seulement, oui une fois pas deux…

Tout le personnel a été très gentil. Le Royatonic est très grand avec plusieurs bains à différentes températures et un espace extérieur. Le restaurant gastronomique est particulièrement somptueux, à réserver très en avance si on veut avoir une place. Le petit déjeuner est assez complet avec notamment différents cakes. C'est très agréable de le prendre en extérieur quand il fait beau. Juste un détail, on aurait aimé une bouteille d'eau à notre arrivée dans la chambre.
