It is a beautiful hotel with the most fantastic view and our junior suite was also great. Food was below average - breakfast was not of a high standard and one morning they were out of juice!! BUT our biggest concern was the the limitation of speaking English. Reunion is telling everybody, that they want to be a tourist island and then it is not good enough, that a hotel of Boucan Canot level have so few people, that speak English - I had a feeling, that we were second rank tourist, because we don't speak French. It is ok to be proud of the French language, but it is a general problem on all French destinations - they think, that French is a world language, but it is NOT!!
If they want to welcome English spoken tourist, all staff should be trained in English.

Très bon séjour au Boucan Canot. Une vue splendide sur l'océan par-dessus la piscine, une localisation à quelques pas du centre-ville, un service souriant et agréable et un parking payant mais possible
: ce sont les points forts immédiats de l'hôtel. La chambre n'est pas en reste : spacieuse et confortable avec une salle de bains au niveau également. Seul petit bémol : le petit-déjeuner buffet qui, quoi que complet, pourrait être meilleur au niveau de la qualité des produits.

Superbe vue sur une des plus belles plages de l'île ! Le staff a été très compréhensif suite à notre changement de plan (nous avons du avancer nos dates du fait des conditions climatiques). Personnel accueillant et agréable, lieu exceptionnel et calme assuré pour bien se reposer. Seul bémol : la piscine était fermée notre premier jour mais nous avons pu en profiter plus tard.

Je séjourne souvent au Boucan Canot, c’est toujours un plaisir mais dommage que le parking soit devenu payant (10€/j). À ma connaissance c’est le seul hôtel de la Réunion qui fait payer le parking. J’ai laissé ma voiture à l’extérieur en guise de protestation.
Je reviendrai si l’établissement revient sur cette malheureuse décision de faire payer le parking.

Hôtel agréable mais passablement défraîchi (peintures écaillées par endroits, mobilier vieillissant, bains de soleil déchirés ou cassés, éclairage piscine dangereux). Un manque d'entretien évident pour un hôtel de cette gamme.
Chambre en rez-de-chaussée supposée vue lagon donne sur un immeuble délabré (et squatté ?).
Petit déjeuner décevant : produits industriels standards, nécessité de réclamer les boissons, des couverts, des verres, le débarassage des assiettes. Personnel certainement insuffisant pour assurer la qualité de service requise à ce niveau.
Jardin agréable, couchers de soleil magiques.
