Had a lovely short stay at Auberge Basque. We took a garden room which was very cute and well decorated. The only downside was it was next to the carpark and road which was noisy and you could only have natural air by opening the back doors - We didn't want to use the air con so at night the room was a bit hot. The 6 course tasting menu was fantastic with some very interesting flavour mixes!

This is a charming property with an excellent restaurant; the food and wine pairing offered was exceptionally fine. Our room was beautifully appointed, and the hotel serves as an excellent base for exploring the lovely basque region.

Un moment magique une réelle découverte gastronomique avec l association mets vins exceptionnels. Le cadre, le service et la vue sur la rhune complètent un tableau déjà enchanteur avec la mise en place de la table .Nous reviendrons avec un immense plaisir.

Belle auberge bien aménagée, intimiste, agréable. Le service y est parfait. Sans prétention, d’une gentillesse exemplaire. Les installations sont récentes, les chambres confortables, les espaces généreux. La table vaut clairement son étoile Michelin. Une cuisine de la région réinventée, goûteuse, originale dans les préparations comme dans la présentation. Bravo. Seul petit bémol, pour un nord-américain la climatisation dans la chambre est un peu faible. Mais c’est un détail. Un mot: parfait

Accueil très agréable. Chambre spacieuse où il ne manque rien, avec très belle vue sur les montagnes. Diner et petit déjeuner excellents, composés de produits locaux d'exception. Bel endroit pour passer un très bon moment.

En préambule j'admets volontiers la part de subjectivité qui accompagne mon commentaire ...j'ai pris le temps pour écrire tant ce lieu m'est apparu difficile à évaluer , il y a ce jardin authentique où l'on se sent bien , le regard embrasse ensuite le panorama étendu et verdoyant qui s'offre à nos yeux...mais pourquoi n'avons nous pas cédé aux charmes de cette demeure pas prétentieuse _et tant mieux _ ? sûrement par notre faute ! Pas celle de la réception où officiait une jeune femme courtoise et attentionnée ( elle a aidé spontanément au transfert des bagages au 2ème étage ) et n'a jamais manqué de dispenser de bons conseils pendant notre séjour. Si le souci d'éco-responsabilité vous honore , il est un peu pesant car rappelé trop souvent , par exemple pas de chaussons en chambre pour un relais et châteaux , il faut les réclamer car source de pollution future quand ils sont abandonnés . Au final il n'y a rien de rédhibitoire mais rien non plus qui marque favorablement , nous n'aurons pas été convaincus au point de penser y retourner .

Séjour très agréable. Chambre confortable et accueillante. Petit questionnaire quelques jours avant notre arrivée pour préparer la chambre à notre goût accompagné de délicates attentions. Dîner « Randonnée en 4 étapes » élégant avec des produits et des associations de saveurs du Sud Ouest que nous avons appréciés. Même souci des produits locaux pour le petit déjeuner. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à la fois pour ce qui concerne l’hébergement que pour le dîner : innovant et plein de saveur. A noter un très bel accord mets/vins. Le personnel, que ce soit le soir pour le dîner ou le matin au petit-déjeuner à été charmant et très disponible.

Un lieu unique où il fait bon vivre. Un établissement incroyable avec un accueil très agréable. Le confort est au rendez-vous. La décoration est très soignée et magnifique. La vue est superbe. Tout est impeccable. Déjà envie d’y retourner.
