Tru by Hilton St. Petersburg Downtown Central Ave

Not even a welcoming bottle of water. No tea or coffee maker in the room. Breakfast was meager with very few choices. Water for tea in breakfast area was more like lukewarm than hot water. The pillows and mattress in the room were so soft it cannot support your body, you just sank into the bed. It was impossible to program the TV. Weak wifi for guests who are not members. The only good thing about this hotel is its location.

The workers are attentive, rooms are clean, great water pressure. Breakfast is included and free water/tea/coffee throughout the day. Overall we had a great stay here.

The room was very clean, the staff very helpful & kind, continental breakfast was good. TRU Hilton management should re-think their parking situation, guest who stay should NOT pay additional cost for garage parking ($40 a day for valet parking) when the garage is not at full capacity!!!! That is something that will not make me rebook. And the local outside parking garages are $25 a day, no thank you. So even though it’s a beautiful hotel, located centrally around so many restaurants- eateries, it’s the pay for parking that will keep us away!! Thank you to helpful front desk staff, all very kind & helpful😁

I will start off by saying the staff was nice enough and they had a free shuttle to run you down to the pier and restaurant area since this hotel is not in walking distance of those amenities. It is adjacent to the Rays stadium so it would be ideal for game days. Parking was $40 a night, pricey for the type of hotel, but the valet was extremely fast. I did not try the breakfast but there was a nice area with snacks and all day coffee. Things I found to be a problem were room cleanliness and the broken elevator. When we arrived there was a noticeably dirty towel hanging in the bathroom and the shower door was pretty dirty. The toilet flushed very weakly and the smell in the shower was off putting. It had a large drain and smelled off. One of the 2 elevators was broken so everyone in the entire hotel (including housekeeping) was waiting for 1 elevator and the wait was very long at times and sometimes full when it finally arrived. It sounded like it wasn’t an issue that was going to fixed in the near future.

We've stayed a couple of times for Ray's games. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional. It's walking distance to the stadium and bars/restaurants and they even offer a free shuttle to the downtown area. Rooms are clean and building is secure. Must pay for self or valet parking if driving.

Extremely pleasant staff, very helpful. Room was nice but few amenities like no coffee maker or microwave.

Location is ideal for walking to bars and restaurants. Can’t beat the proximity to Tropicana either

My only issue was the noise level at night. Rude loud neighbors way past midnight. This was reported but to no resolution
