Al Baleed Salalah Resort by Anantara

The hotel is  Amazing . I will come back there for sure.  Everything was perfect and more. One of my the best holidays.

Al Baleed Resort has great location with miles of unspoilt white sand beach. Eating options are limited to only 3 restaurants. The breakfast at the Salkana restaurant is extremely good with great service from all the staff. However, the dinner buffet for the Indian night was below average with some dishes that did NOT do justice to the Indian Cuisine. There is much room for improvement on food quality and taste. The Al Mina restaurant (Mediterranean Cuisine) was very disappointing in terms of vegetarian options and general service. On one occasion we had to wait 40 minutes before even the bread & olive oil were brought to the table!

Overall one of the best hotels I ever stayed in. Side note; I live in the UAE, where 5 stars hotel are really common. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, the beds super comfy and the washrooms are every woman's dream (lightning, mirrors and amouage amenities). Staff is super attentive, accommodating and naturally friendly. They actually love what they do and we as guests can feel it's authenticity - which makes everything dining experience really special. The food was beyond delicious and the variety in the buffet made it hard to choose and even harder to not overeat. Congratulations to the management and leadership of the hotel team - you truly do an amazing job. I will definitely be back!

Already Rebooked Before I Left I stayed at Al Baleed Anantara in May 2026 for a 7-night holiday in a Pool Villa, and it was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable resort stays I have experienced. A special thank you to Gabor, who welcomed me on arrival and allocated the perfect villa. It was private, spacious and incredibly peaceful. What stood out most was his daily WhatsApp check-ins to ensure everything was going smoothly. It felt genuinely personal and reflected the high standards Anantara is known for. The resort itself is beautifully maintained and has a strong focus on sustainability. Guests can explore the hotel’s nursery and farm, and there is even the opportunity to plant a frankincense tree, which is a unique touch. Hussain and Ahmed from the front desk were excellent. The resort is expansive, but whenever I needed a golf buggy, a quick text or call was all it took and one would arrive promptly at my villa. Although the private pool can be heated, there was absolutely no need during my stay—the cool water was the perfect escape from the Omani heat. Breakfast at Meekong was made even better by Sandeep, who remembered my dietary requirements, how I liked my tea and my food preferences throughout the week. It was always a pleasure chatting with him each morning. I would also like to recognise Sultan at Mina restaurant, whose attentive and friendly service enhanced every visit. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble. Katuzi, who serviced my villa on several occasions, was equally impressive. Like so many members of the team, he genuinely cared about my experience and always asked whether there was anything that could be improved. Honestly, I could not think of anything. The beach is pristine, the infinity pool is beautiful, and there are plenty of loungers and cabanas available. Thoughtful touches such as chilled face towels and fresh fruit skewers served on the beach added to the overall experience. The resort also offers excellent facilities, including a paddle court, children’s play area and a variety of dining options catering to different tastes and dietary requirements. My stay was so enjoyable that I rebooked for May 2027 while I was still at the resort, which probably says more than anything else. Thank you to Gabor, Hussain, Ahmed, Sandeep, Sultan and Katuzi for making my stay so memorable. I am already looking forward to returning.
