Location - Not the best, no restaurant, bar or wine shop within walking distance neither any tourist attraction. Now that you are dependent on the hotel for everything, here is my review after 2 stays :- 1. We called ahead and spoke to the GM, requesting if we could come in since we were already there a day prior to that and were just 2 kms away. He was very nice and professional about it and told me we could check in immediately if need be because they already had a room available.............we arrived at noon and still were told an hour later that our room was being prepared by Housekeeping...........till i had to tell the receptionist girl that her GM himself had confirmed availability of the room . 5 minutes later, it was ready to move in. 2. No alcohol available in the restaurant or room service or around the hotel. 3. Nice swimming pool but very narrow and can accomodate just 2 families after which it is too crowded. We were asked to vacate at 7pm and adhered to the hotel pool timings while others were still entering the pool and it was hard to convince my 9 yr old child (who absolutely loves the pool) that hotel rules are meant to be adhered to. 4. Very limited restaurant menu. We chose to eat all our meals outside because there was lack of choice of seafoods or meats unless you wanted to eat veg or chicken (Mughalai)..... but why would we come to Goa to eat any of that ? 5. Breakfast - Very limited and once again, meant for vegetarians. Total lack of information as to what is available besides on the counter. Why not publicize it if it is on offer ? 6. When we booked it said free welcome drink and we paid for an upgrade that included breakfast as well as 20% off; i don't think we received either. 7. Bathrooms for some reason have no border between shower and toilet and once you have a shower, the water will always spill into the toilet section as well. 8. The constant banging (work going on) really gets to you when you try to catch a few winks in the afternoon especially with a child. It was the same last year too. :-( Now for the Pros :- 1. Rooms are very spacious and tastefully done. 2. The pillows are really the softest fluffiest ones you can hope for, in this segment at least and the bed is wide enough for 2 plus a child. 3. All staff are very courteous at this property at least, from the security that greet you when you check in, to the FOM Ashok. 4. I definitely recommend this place for a stay .............provided you sort out your alcohol if you enjoy a drink and a rented vehicle if you did not drive there, because you need one to get absolutely anywhere. We rented a Fascino (bike) for 300 rs a day and were totally sorted. Best food available, value for money, Britto's at Baga beach, undoubtedly. Just to clarify..........no major issues at all at this place, small attention to detail to work on, but a great place to stay at definitely. I would go back there any day of the week to be honest. All the cons i mentione
