Motel 6 Salt Lake City, UT - West - Airport

Very nice spot, spacious, clean and nearby the airport. They have a small pool, and there is a convenient bus across the road to the train station.

I really hate to do this, but I highly recommend tourists stay away from this hotel. The first room that was given to me had blood splatter up the wall, onto the ceiling of the bathroom. The second room was dirty. Neither of the beds had blankets, only 2 sheets each. The shower head hit me about neck high (I’m 5’4!) The shower was so filthy I should have just skipped it, I’m pretty easy going but this was a no go. I had forgotten my phone in the car and was going to get it but my brother wasn’t comfortable with that. He went and when he got back said the Sheriff was out in the parking lot. There was so much noise my brother used earplugs and I was just awake half the night. Of course nobody was around during the day but once the sun went down everyone came out. This is not a motel for tourists.

I like most Motel 6 hotels because they are cheap and clean. That is all I need. This one the first room they gave us the bed was filthy. There was something like a it of dried blood on the pillow. The top sheet also had some stains on it that looked like blood. The AC buttons were all broken (no AC), and the lamp was missing the bulb and the cover. Also the toilet ha some yellow dots on it (dried pee?). Thankfully, they gave us another room. It was clean, but it one bed was missing a blanket and only had sheets. Also, there was no soap or anything to wash our hands with. It was also missing a lamp shade. The whole place looks run down as well. I was disappointed, because I have stayed at other Motel 6s that were very clean and comfortable. And have been exactly what I needed. This one was not.
