Overall, my stay at this hotel was quite disappointing, with only a few positive aspects worth mentioning. The main advantage of this hotel is its convenient location, as it is situated near a train station, making it easy to get around. I also appreciated the daily housekeeping service and the regular refill of the minibar, which was a nice touch. However, there were several issues that affected the overall experience. The reception staff (lady) were not welcoming and did not greet guests with a smile, which gave a poor first impression. More concerning was the lack of proper support when we encountered a problem with the room heating. Despite multiple attempts to adjust it ourselves, it did not work. When we reported this to the reception (lady), the staff’s response was unhelpful and came across as dismissive, as if we did not know how to use the system. Although another staff member (guy) mentioned they would check on it, the issue was never resolved. As a result, we had to endure two very cold nights. Additionally, the bathroom design was impractical. The shower had no door, causing water to splash all over the bathroom floor. On top of that, housekeeping did not consistently replace bath towels, which was inconvenient. In summary, while the location and some housekeeping aspects were good, the service quality and room facilities need significant improvement.

Location is great, room is clean, average city hotel. Roof top view is nice, specially on breakfast. Small gym and sauna. My stay wasn’t that much comfortable as I have checked in late, sleep late and wakes up early. All charging outlets in the room is not functioning on my phone charger, could be doesn’t fit well, as I move to other and it worked. I have checked out no one on Front Office Desk, mini Bar drinks are inclusive.

During my recent holiday, I stayed at the Hotel Alt Salzburg, and here's my review. The hotel is centrally located near the train station, offering convenient transportation and easy walking access to many popular attractions and shopping areas. This is a big plus for travelers who enjoy exploring the city. The room decor features an industrial style, so the walls have a rough paint finish. Whether you like it or not is a matter of personal taste. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and free Wi-Fi, a mini-bar, and a coffee machine were provided. However, there was no kettle in the room, which was very inconvenient for travelers during winter. Although you could request one from the front desk, the cleanliness of the kettles and cups left much to be desired. The open-plan shower lacked privacy and was quite cold when showering. There were also stains on the toilet paper. The front desk staff at this hotel were quite cold and expressionless, making them unapproachable. I rarely encounter hotel employees who are so indifferent. While they would responsibly handle requests when needed, they weren't very proactive. Overall, the hotel's location is its main advantage.

Because I was traveling by train through Europe, I chose a hotel less than 200 meters' walk from Salzburg Central Station. The modern decor was simple, and the facilities were adequate. Aside from being reminded to bring my own toothbrush and slippers, everything I needed for a two-day stay was there. Check-in and check-out at the front desk were straightforward, and they offered free luggage storage. The best part was the rooftop breakfast restaurant with panoramic views of Salzburg city and the fortress. We even got to see it after a snowfall, and the view of the rooftops was really nice. The buffet was generous; besides the usual German-speaking staples of tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers, there was a rich array of local breakfast options. On the second floor, there's a lounge and coffee bar with a window overlooking the train tracks, which makes for a great photo op. I recommend a larger Salzburg restaurant that you can find on Dianping (a Chinese review site), located about 200 meters from the hotel. It's popular with both locals and tourists, and the food tastes great. The beer is also highly recommended, the service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable for Central Europe, typically around 80 to 90 euros for four people.

The views are absolutely stunning, with 270-degree floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic city view set against the snow-capped mountains! The front desk service was excellent and patient, providing detailed information. The mini-bar was complimentary, and they even gave us free candies! It was also convenient to walk to nearby attractions.

We only stay for one night , Decent hotel with good location and nice view in room and at the breakfast, free minibar as well but room only Have two very soft pillow which is insufficient and the bathroom smell is bad and there is no door to the bathroom so you will have to deal with the smell during your stay. No privacy for bathroom if u are traveling with friends or family

Booked this hotel at the last minute, prioritizing location. I was a bit worried after reading many comments about it not being Asia-friendly before my trip, but I encountered absolutely no issues during my stay 💯. The front desk staff was very nice, proactively helped me with transit tickets, and even assigned me a high-floor room with a great view. The 150 bus stop is right downstairs, making it super convenient to get to the Lake District. To my surprise, the mini-bar in the room was complimentary and all-you-can-drink – how amazing is that?! The heating was also excellent. Overall, a really good stay 👍. Forgot to take pictures, so here are a few snaps of the candies the hotel provided 🍬.
