Will NEVER stay here again and in any Reikartz hotels anymore. A total disappointment. A room cost USD$90 for a night. I chose this hotel at first because it’s a chain brand hotel. With a more premium price in the city, I expected a comfortable stay. Turns out, the hotel failed to meet the most basic standards. These were what I got:
(1) Water leaking out while showering. Unable to use toilet for the whole night.
There are gaps between the bathtub and the wall, and it’s not properly sealed with glue. While showering, water splashing onto the wall went through the gap, and it flooded the whole toilet. This happened at night. When I requested to change another room, the staff said all rooms are fully booked, and I have to wait until 9 a.m. in the morning for the handyman to come by and check. I was unable to use the toilet, and I’m told to use the public toilet in the lobby. It is not hygienic comparing to the toilet in room.
This is absolutely ridiculous. I paid for a night where I can’t even have access to a clean and private toilet.
In the next morning, I talked to the manager in request for changing a room today. He said that all rooms are fully booked, but he promised to get it fixed during the daytime.
When I went back to the hotel in the afternoon, the manager said that it could not be fixed at the moment. Finally, they moved me to Room 304 where everything works perfectly fine. (Magically they find a vacant room when they said that all rooms are booked in the morning)
(2) Hotel staff got into my room with their master key without notice.
After moving to the new room, while I was unpacking my luggage, a hotel staff member used a Master Key to get into the room without ringing the doorbell. I was shocked as it is a serious violation of privacy.
(3) Restaurant bar blasting music until 11:00 p.m. Clearly audible in the room.
