Hotel San Agustin Beach Club

We stayed for 6 nights in a double room on a half-board basis. It was a peaceful and relaxing stay. All staff members were friendly and helpful. Our room on the 3rd floor overlooked the pool and sea. It was very clean, came with a coffee machine, and kettle, and a tv with a few English channels. Our bed was really comfortable and we slept very well. The bathroom came with complimentary supplies including soap, shower gel and shampoo, plus other bits. The shower was hot with a decent pressure. WiFi good in our room. Only negative in our room was the lack of available plug/USB sockets - and none of them were anywhere near the bed. There was one in the bathroom, one near the chairs, and one behind the TV cabinet, which we had to pull out to get access. There is a good size safe inside the room, but this is an additional charge (€2.50 per day). Breakfast was by the pool each morning with a good selection of hot and cold food and drink. Most of the evening meals are in the same area, often with evening entertainment provided. One evening, everyone sat together inside the restaurant. All the food was presented nicely, but whether it was breakfast or dinner, the cooked food was never served hot - lukewarm at best! Maybe it’s a Spanish thing?! We’re not sure if this is normal but we would have preferred our food to be a hotter temperature. The evening meals were also lacking herbs/spices and were a little bland. Pool area was great. Looked at the gym but it has only 3 pieces of cardio and a handful of very light dumbbells. It’s also in a room with no natural light - not enticing to workout in. The sauna is also in this room, but on the occasion we went to use it, it wasn’t on. There was no sign to say it’s out of order or how customers should turn it on. Overall we enjoyed our time here, we would come back, and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking to visit Gran Canaria.

Another lovely stay spoilt in part by the strange actions of a foreign couple who continuously wedged open the fire escape door immediately next to their room for use as their personal quick exit to the beach, bar, pool etc. This allowed cold draughts at night blow into our bedroom and noise from the adjacent cafe keep us awake at night. Whilst the cleaners usually closed it in the morning and I closed it once or twice, it was soon miraculously open again soon after. I presume the occupants were aware we weren’t happy as they always smirked and grinned whenever they saw us. We are not ones to complain but in future we will. We will return but will not put up with such stupid selfish action again.

An amazing hotel in front of the ocean, old-style but very comfortable. At the reception, Danny was very nice upon our arrival. The room is quite big and has everything you need. The two pools are very nice, and there is also a 5-seat small hydro massage. With the half board, we had an amazing continental breakfast every morning with everything you could desire. The big plus is the dinner, where you are in the hands of one of the best chefs that I have ever met (and I travel a lot for my job). Aridane Socorro and his kitchen staff made our dinners magical, with a gourmet menu every day that was refined and delicious. The service with Elio, Marco, Angela, Dory, and all the rest of the staff was friendly and professional. I would like to thank all the people who have worked hard to make you feel at home in this hotel. We have spent 15 days in the structure, and we will come back for sure. A place that makes you feel relaxed and happy.

Our stay at this hotel was just what we wanted: A great beachfront location, superb views, a comfortable and relaxing room and enjoyable meals served by professional and attentive staff. One of the best winter breaks we've had.

Do not choose halfboard. The set five-course dinner every night is more or less the same, the same ingredients more or less and tastes absolutely nothing. The restaurant needs a new chef with knowledge of good cooking and spices. Stay away from this restaurant!

nice room with sea view and view of pool area with balcony. no suitable electrical sockets in room for charging devices. only socket was in bathroom. hotel was a little dated and there were some small insects crawling around the floors and some surfaces. excellent choice of buffet and cooked breakfast.

Very loud bad music in the hotel. I came here to relax because i was exhausted, i left even more exhausted. Even with headphones you could hear the bad live music that maked my vacation in to a nightmare!! Never again!!!!!

I cannot give this hotel enough praise. The first time we went was in September 2019 before covid and loved everything about it, Its Staff, It's Location, It Food. All we wanted a relaxing holiday so went again in June this year 2022. Me and my wife choose this hotel because it was a small hotel and had a beach front with a promenade where we could walk. The hotel is themed like a Spanish Galleon. The bedrooms were a little tiered on both occasions for were adequate for our needs. The staff say that they may be a refurbishment sometime in the near future. We would love to know when this is happening as we want to book another holiday in 2023. A very big thank you to all the staff. We have enjoyed this hotel so much we are going to break with our tradition and go a third time. We will be back!!

We wanted a relaxing hiday after not going away since the covid thing and looking at on the beach found The beach club in San Augustin. Just the 2 of us we choose this hotel because it was away from the busier part ( Playa Ingles) area. The hotel was just as we expected based on other reviews, a little bit dated but totally fine for what we wanted. (Apparently a refurbishment is happening this year). We went for half board breakfast buffet style and evening meal which was excellent value for money over 2 weeks. BBQ 2 times a week and 5 courses other times. Entertainment every night. Signing, dancing and acrobats was ok. Car hire £27 for one day 3 minutes walk away. Anfi beach area for water sports 20/25 minutes away. Right on the beach from the swimming pool area this hotel was perfect location to go for a beach walk or stroll to bar. Taxi to Playa Ingles was around 5 euro. The thing that makes this hotel is the staff, The main man Edward who was in charge of mainly the resturant was absolutely fantastic, friendly, helpful, thoughtful and super efficient and had a super team behind him. Thank to the main staff members we met, Linda, Marco, Fernando and Jose and a big shout out to Edward. We would definitely go back. 9/10
