Holiday Inn Express SAN ANTONIO N-RIVERWALK AREA by IHG

Environment: Excellent location, right in the city center, very convenient to get around. Service: Standard service level, free luggage storage upon check-out. Cleanliness: Clean towels and sheets. Facilities: Very large room with two double beds, breakfast is decent.

The room was decent, with two 1.5-meter beds and an old-fashioned bathtub in the bathroom where you had to stand to shower. The hotel was said to be a converted prison, located next to a small park. There's a river there, but not the one along the river walk. It's about a five-minute walk to the river. The hotel offers breakfast on the first floor in a small but filling space. They also have a COSCO coffee machine. There's a Domino's Pizza next door; their pizzas are quite good.

The location is very convenient; it's a decent hotel with parking nearby. The breakfast is average.

Overall, it was a good experience. It was conveniently located, within walking distance of the River Walk and the San Anthony Cathedral light show. I also visited the Battle of the Alamo and the 18th-century Spanish Mission historical site – all very nice! 👍 The hotel parking was a bit of a mess. The parking spaces along the wall next to the hotel are for Platinum members, and the road in front of the hotel is a one-way street. After one traffic light, the parking spaces for regular customers are next to a Domino's fast food restaurant on the right. Parking along the wall will get you a ticket from the police.

The room was clean, and the breakfast was good. The air conditioner was noisy on the walls the first night, which affected my sleep. After I complained, the staff changed our room, which I was very happy with. Packing each slice of bread in a plastic bag was a little wasteful.
