DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego-Mission Valley

Room was clean, comfortable and fairly spacious. Hotel is located a short drive away from San Diego zoo which was what we were in the city for, so that was convenient. Be prepared to pay USD40 for overnight parking which will be taken out of the security deposit. Front office stuff were not the friendliest - did not smile the whole time she was checking us in and we noted the same behaviour from all the other receptionists who were serving other guests. If not fussy about service levels from staff, can consider staying here

This is a run down hotel. Staff is rude, amenities are either broken, out of service. No apologies from staff for jacuzzi not working. Bathroom door broken in room. When asked to get the cart for luggage, staff rudely said we don’t have time and you can come and get it yourself.

I’m a little disappointed because my booking said breakfast was included, but I was still charged for it.

They are not giving us refrigerated I tell them room closes to elevator but they give me far away I don’t know its okay

Unfriendly front desk. No free parking. No usb ports. No breakfast.

This is a horrible hotel. Service is extremely bad. They charge for anything and everything extra. Hotel claims they have a sbux but it hardly qualifies as a decent coffee place, let alone a sbux. The latte is absolutely horrible. The hotel charges an arm and leg for parking. They charge for water. They charge for breakfast even when Hilton honors member are entitled to complimentary breakfast. The hotel won’t even allow guests use their microwave in the common area, let alone having one in the room for guests. This hotel argues with guests for the smallest of requests. Further, some rooms have clear visible damages on the doors entering the room. Yet, the hotel would still put guests into such a room, especially if you booked through a third party. They obviously treat you like crap if you booked through a third party as well. It’s a crappy hotel with crappy service that hardly deserves the doubletree name, let alone meeting the Hilton doubletree standard. Stay away if you can!
