Hotel Julian – No Resort Fee

A wonderful small renovated hotel at excellent pricing. Good location. Clean spotless room with large size and open light windows. Comfy bed and bathroom. The staff and manager are very friendly and helpful. I extended my stay to an extra day MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THE BREAKFAST WAITRESS WHO WAS UNFRIENDLY AMD RUDE. I POLITELY ASKED 3 TIMES FOR A COFFEE REFILL AMD WALTED 10 MINITES WHILE SHE WAITED ON NRW ARRIVING TABLES. WHEN O ASKED AGAIN SHE RUDELY TOLD ME TO KEEP WAITING. WHEM I TOLD HER I WOULD MAKE A FORMAL COMPLAINT SHE SAID WITH DISGUST "GO AHEAD!:. I LEFT IMMEDIAYELY WITJPUT MY REQUEST SO I WOULD NOT SAY SOMETHING INAPPROPRIATE. SHE CLEARLY HAYRS HER JOB AND SHOULD BE REPLACED.. THANKFULLY THE HOTEL MGR CAME TO ME, APOLOGIZED AND POILITELY DOSCISSED MY CONCERN. OTHER THAN THIS NASTY BREAKFAST EVERYONE ELSE WERE SUPER NICE

Newly renovated rooms/interior compared to many other hotels in the area. Breakfast is simple but good enough. Would stay here again

For the price you pay it, it might be San Francisco's best kept secret! Would highly recommend this property. Staff were excellent, the whole property is stylish and renewed, and the location is about a 15 minute walk to the BART. Note the room I was in did not have a refrigerator and the room adjacent to mine was extremely loud and slamming doors without end (thin.walls?). I look forward to staying here again, so I booked in for a few months from now at a great price point once again. Highly recommended.

Nice receptionist girl and complimentary breakfast available. Location is downtown, though unsafe but quite close to china town/japan town and the pier. Mind the parking as well (45-50 per night in that area)

Good location, close to union square and restaurants. All female staff were friendly and have positive attitudes. Angel, the front dest lady was exceptional. The room is pretty good. The only thing is the bathroom sliding door cannot close all the way which is a bit weird and can be awkward if you are with a friend or someone you're not that close with. The morning coffee and pastries is a nice touch.
