Beautiful views of San Gimignano from the outdoor bar and breakfast area. Our room was large, and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Gave us great restaurant and wine tasting ideas.

Beautiful hotel, lovely rooms, great pool, nice staff. The view from rooms, pool and the restaurant for breakfast and afternoon drinks is stunning. Especially the view back to San gimignano. The taxi the hotel booked for us completely ripped us off, costing 30 euro for a 5 min ride in to the city and 40 euro back to the hotel after dinner. That was the only let down. I would suggest the hotel find a new taxi driving service to call for their guests.

Property is highly recommended. We were very pleased as it provided a real country Tuscany feel about it. Very well appointed and 'historical'. Staying facing the garden in the summer had a drawback of mosquitos getting into the room. Hotel did not seem to relate this problem, not offer any solutions, so that was just a bit disappointing. Otherwise, this is highly recommended.

The grounds are amazing and the view out front to the Tuscan Hills will make you forget all of your worries. Clean room, great bathrooms. The place has that old century feel while still feeling modern enough. Make sure you pay before through ******* or check out and not leave like other hotels in the US, I got an angry call from the front desk woman who’s thought I wasn’t paying and threatened to call the police even though there was a card on file that was used to hold the room. Besides that one interaction which I didn’t love everything else was amazing.

This hotel is one of the worst experience we ever had. Supposedly a 4 star, felt more like a 1 star hotel. The manager is extremely rude and unhelpful, the staff except the lady who serves breakfast, doesn’t really want to serve and seem unhappy with their jobs. The pool is dirty, no room service nor any kind of service at all. Shlep your own bags up, the elevator only allows two people to use it at a time, hair and snot in the pool and don’t expect any service after 11 00 ( more like an elderly home approach then a 4 star hotel! I overheard a staff member telling a guest that this hotel is privately owned by two Milanese families. It seems like these families run it on minimal cost and don’t really care what the hotel offers the guests, it must be just an asset that needs to be cost covering … A shame!

Our goal on this vacation was to get an opportunity to experience the Tuscan countryside. We had previously been to Italy and had done all the museums and main attractions. This beautiful hotel was just the ticket to allow us to enjoy the experience. Everything was wonderful! The setting is ideal with fantastic views and the most amazing grounds. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. There was an old world charm and elegance to the hotel. The restaurant and breakfast included daily were off the charts. One of my favorite things was sitting in an outdoor courtyard every evening enjoying a complimentary glass of local wine and enjoying the great view of San Gimignano. This truly was the place to stay to accomplish our goal of experiencing Tuscany!
