Acuatico Beach Resort
4.4/542 Reviews
An excellent 3-4 Star resort for the area. Facilities, amenities and accommodations are definitely a strong 3-star by international standards. But what makes it closer to a 4-star are its two exceptional distinctions: first is its good food in terms of taste, presentation and variety, and second and most exceptional is its outstanding 'palm-to-the-chest mabuhay' service! From Joseph the porter, Queency at the front desk, Adrian at housekeeping, to Cesar the lifeguard, the staff are all well-trained, warm, personal and professional! Kudos to bartender Raffy and dining staff Camille, Ronald, Nicole with team leader Flora. Congratulations and keep up the great management job Kimpsey! To be thorough, while the common areas are more or less wheel-chair friendly with ramps and an elevator, the rooms themselves are not, with steps up to the bed area and/or bathroom which made it difficult for our 94 year-old mother. Nevertheless, on the whole a repeatable and recommendable experience.
Cocoons Club Laiya

I'm rating Cocoons a 5 out 5 firstly because of the very attentive, well-informed, and approachable employees. The Cocoon itself is relatively small, but that's the main reason why it's called a cocoon and this is a glamping concept hotel. They replenish the toiletries, coffee, water inside the room on a daily basis. They change towels upon request which is good as I'm not a fan of hanging towels outside hotel rooms. The internet is not good, we had to use our prepaid wifi during our stay. The bed, pillows, and duvet were comfortable and of good quality. It would be better if there are at least hooks for clothes inside the rooms. Floor rug should also be in the room upon check-in, we had to request it but they gave it right away. If there's a way to address the hanging of clothes and towels outside the rooms that would be good as it takes away the beauty of the cocoons. Maybe a cloth string behind cocoons, not sure if that would work. Bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. There are common toilets near cocoons so finding one won't be a hassle. Pools were heated and clean. Shore is also clean and definitely ”swimmable”. Breakfast at The Sands was okay, but breakfast at Captain Barbozza was amazing! Had dinner at Captain B twice and loved the food, drinks, and ambience. 10/10! Overall it was a great glamping experience.
