We stayed one night, the place is very quiet and perfect to unwind, but I think it has one star left over. The facilities are very obsolete, the room they gave us was very spacious and the bathroom too, but plugs, curtain in the bathtub, etc... they make us lose a lot. The correct breakfast, it is not a buffet, it consists of cold cuts, breads, rolls and fruit, enough and the coffee is very good. We also had dinner that consisted of 2 appetizers, in this case both vegetables, correct, a fish or a meat, in our case we had a sea bass, inedible that also smelled bad, and we did not eat, hence, I had a lot of doubt in my opinion. rating because in reality this spoiled everything, a four star cannot serve that fish, then a dessert that was delicious. Friendly staff.

This opinion refers only to the hotel bar. Despite the pleasantness of the place and its historical beauty, the trea**ent was inattentive and very unprofessional. The bad experience culminated in a very exaggerated account, surely the result of ignorance. A shame.

A wonderful hotel with peace, nature, fresh air, luxury hotel. But the girls who work there, less than the waitress in the restaurant who was phenomenal, didn't even have smiles and ignored you. And he lets you wait at the bar for 15 minutes before telling you it was closed. The schedule says it doesn't close, they were so miserable that you felt like they didn't want you there and it was just a nigh**are for them. I didn't leave a tip. I have stayed two nights at the Hotel, I repeated my experience since the first time I thought it was fantastic. A four-star hotel that I thought was fantastic, today does not deserve the Four-star category. It needs a total reform. Dated rooms and a lick of paint. The people at the reception act as waiters in the cafeteria and restaurant so you have to wait. If you want to have dinner, they close the kitchen at 9:30 p.m. If we talk about breakfast, the stale fruit is obviously not fresh. The minibar in the room is empty. I think it is not a four-star hotel, but rather a three- or two-star hotel. It's a shame, the place is perfect to disconnect but not to pay for a Four Star category.

We are a group of 9 people from Singapore, Mexico, Belgium and Spain. We made the reservation at the Monasterio 7 months in advance, but the manager Amaya canceled 3 rooms just a few days before. We wanted to talk to her and explain the problem she was causing us because with such little time, there is no availability in other charming establishments in the area, but her attitude was rude, without any empathy for our situation. It has ruined our trip. The most surprising thing is the trea**ent received by the director of an establishment like this. Very sad for Tourism of La Rioja.

The Monastery, imposing. The Hosteria, good, the maintenance, regular (radiators without purging on a very cold day), the mattresses in my opinion, to change now. The Restaurant, very well presented, but excessively expensive for what is offered. Melty Iberian croquettes, 6, €18 plus VAT, and they were cold inside, and with a creamy cheese that supported the Iberian slice, which I didn't like at all. Other dishes, very expensive and with little connection.

It is in a quiet and very beautiful area of ​​La Rioja, the rooms and bathroom are large and clean, the breakfast is quality and abundant with local products. Very attentive staff. I recommend it
