Chris at the Dirty Martini is awesome! Everyone at the hotel restaurant is super nice…the hotel private beach is a must!!!! My only complaint are the mosquitos, they were simply awful I have so many bites..they don’t spray and it shows

Amenities could be better for the hefty price.

Mahogany Bay was a nice resort. The room was clean, loved the lanai as extra space. Loved the private island. The cabanas were great and the serenity it offers was unmatched. The staff was nice enough. Whenever approached or needed they were cordial. Gilmer the bartender was the absolute best. Always smiling and took care of us when we ordered drinks and food for the pool. We did not have hot water to shower and the cable was out in the property for a few days during our stay. We also ordered drinks and asked for a menu one day at the pool. The young man never came back. Rare occasion because every other time we asked for service it was provided. It was a good property to stay when visiting Belize.

This stay is okay if you like a nature/ jungle type vibe. My room had ants everywhere! I was only there one night and moved to Alaia for the rest of my trips! I’m into a more luxury stay but if you are okay with ants and wildlife and poor air conditioning in the units the. You will be fine. I think because the way the units are made, it’s hard to keep the air inside. The property is very nice tho. But I’d prefer more luxury. I had a standard king room. And I didn’t notice the ants until it was time to gather things for checkout because the room is so dark so I had to clean all my things and re fold and shake out all of my things. Needless to say, I couldn’t wait to get away from the property.

The hotel amenities were excellent, and the food and overall service were truly outstanding — especially the fresh seafood. The hostess, Kimberly, was kind, attentive, and always went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. Thank you, Kimberly! That level of hospitality is what makes a resort stay memorable. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable, with great air conditioning, lighting, and bedding. Overall, it was an excellent stay, and I would definitely recommend this resort to others.
