La Tigra Rainforest Lodge

Stayed here two nights with my young adult sons. It’s a gorgeous locations, the tent lodging was fun, and a new experience. Staff were friendly, and the food was delicious-impressive since it’s in the middle of nowhere. To that end, we missed the fact that it’s a solid hour outside of La Fortuna, and the last 1mile is a steep, rocky road that really needs an SUV with high clearance. Also, for the treehouse tents, you can’t reserve a certain bed set up-so while they were able to accompany my ask for three different beds one night, they couldn’t the other night. Not a big deal, but a consideration. All told, it was beautiful, and we had a great time.

We loved our stay at La Tigra Rainforest Lodge. It was a fantastic experience staying in the jungle and listening to all the wild life at night, it was beyond my expectations. Louis was cheerful and very helpful during our stay. The ladies that cleaned our room used our towels to make delightful origami animals. The chefs made fantastic meals! I would highly recommend staying here.

Basic accommodations but clean. The staff takes good care of the visitors and made our stay comfortable. Secluded location but great for hiking and disconnecting from the busyness of day to day life.

The property and surroundings were beautiful. The room was very nice and fit our family of four perfectly. We loved hearing the nature noise maker surrounding us and the nature hike was really fun too. I would recommend a 4x4 to get to the property, it is a good ways up a bumpy road.

this place is in the middle of the forrest , the food is very good and surprised us a lot. the rooms are open to nature as the terrace wall is not actually a wall but instead you have curtains so you need to know that in advance. it is recommended to arrive with your own 4*4 car.

Would definitely recommend coming to this lodge! The food was good and well-priced (lunch and dinner were also a delicious option provided), and the lodges themselves were clean and very beautiful, with a balcony view straight into the rain forest. There were trails around the lodge where we could explore the landscape on our own, but tours were also offered - we did the night tour, which was informative and super interesting! The staff was welcoming and the pools were small but tranquil and clean, with more great views. Although the lodge is very remote, everything you could need is provided for a great stay for people of all ages, so it is definitely worth the trip!

This was the first stop on our trip and everything I had been dreaming about. The epitome of outstanding ecotourism. Amazing treehouses set in the forest, super friendly team, great night walk, really lovely food and awesome trails throughout the property and neighbouring Bosque La Tigra. Such an impressive rainforest restoration project. I was initially concerned about the distance from our excursions around Fortuna but the drive was easy and it’s nice to come back to the serenity of La Tigra each day. A trip highlight!

This property is beautiful! The staff were helpful and friendly. We ate many meals here on the property, we were not disappointed! We explored the surrounding villages and local cuisine as well.

Not recommanded !! Staff are rude , the room are very humid and no hot water! A lot a lot of bugs and animal inside the room restaurant very overprice and its but eating there. Food all taste the same. We stayed 1 night and they charge us 5 nights did not accept to switch to a regular room.
