Yanda Guobin Hotel

I booked the room online, but when I got to the front desk, the staff asked for an additional 100 yuan deposit, which felt very strange. When I asked why, the staff wouldn't answer. I was really tired that day, so I didn't press the issue and checked in quickly. Not only was the room noisy, but the breakfast was absolutely awful, and you were only allowed one egg. I just took a sip of the terrible soy milk and ate two steamed buns the size of an egg. Even though I wasn't full, I didn't want to eat any more. What was even more annoying was that when I checked out at 12:30 PM, half an hour past the hotel's 12 PM check-out time, the staff deducted 30 yuan from my deposit. I argued loudly with the staff, deliberately trying to draw attention from others. The staff kept emphasizing that I had exceeded the check-out time. I was equally rude and demanded to speak to a manager. I guess they knew they were in the wrong and feared it would affect their business, so they finally agreed not to deduct the money. I travel frequently and have stayed in countless hotels, but this stay was truly terrible! They have a prime location, and they're taking advantage of their customers because they're less than ten meters from Yanda Hospital, a top-tier hospital in Hebei Province. Most of their guests are family members of patients who don't have the energy to argue with them, so they've gotten used to bullying people. I advise everyone to avoid this unscrupulous business if possible.

We had originally booked a family room for four, but were only informed that afternoon that it was unavailable, forcing us to switch to a triple room. Consequently, one of our children had to stay with relatives elsewhere, and the front desk didn't offer a single apology! To top it off, when we finally got to the room, the toilet was clogged – absolutely infuriating! Breakfast was just as awful; my husband and son couldn't even stomach a bite. I only managed a bowl of millet porridge and a tea egg. Honestly, this is the most primitive hotel I've ever stayed in! 😂

I booked this place for my relatives who were visiting an elderly family member at a care facility. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent value for money! The facilities, cleanliness, and service were all top-notch. The hotel itself felt very grand and upscale.

The hotel is really close to the hospital, about a ten-minute walk away. I was here on a fun trip with friends this time. The transportation is very convenient, and the fact that it's so close to the hospital is a major plus. The hotel staff are all very polite and always greet guests warmly.

This hotel is incredibly accommodating. They seem to understand that many of their guests are family members supporting patients at the local hospital, which explains their flexible check-in policy. When they saw me looking completely exhausted waiting in the lobby, they surprisingly let me check into my room early in the morning so I could rest. It was truly a heartwarming gesture ❤️.

The room was really spacious, and breakfast was included. I had initially planned to move to a hotel in Beijing for my last night, but the massage bed here was so incredibly comfortable that I couldn't be bothered to move, so I ended up booking an extra night. Getting to Beijing by bus and subway takes about 2 hours, and even a round trip to visit relatives was quite manageable. Hotels in Beijing were extremely expensive during the May Day holiday, so Yanda Guobin Hotel offered excellent value for money. It's also a 45-minute drive to Capital Airport (assuming no traffic during holidays).

The room was quite spacious. However, the front desk staff were unfriendly and impatient. Guests were smoking in the lobby, and the staff did not intervene. Breakfast required a daily voucher, and only one egg per person was allowed. Furthermore, there were no non-smoking rooms and no refrigerator.

This is the first time I've stayed at a hotel where I felt so rushed to check out. They called at 11 AM, again after 11:30 AM, and a third time at 12 PM, each time asking if I had checked out. It completely put me off any thought of extending my stay.

Pros: The hotel offers spacious rooms. Its proximity to Yanda Hospital and a nearby care center is extremely convenient for visiting elderly relatives or accompanying hospital patients. Cons: The facilities are rather dated. A major concern is that all rooms are smoking rooms, which significantly diminishes the experience for guests who are sensitive to smoke. I strongly urge the hotel to establish dedicated non-smoking floors. Additionally, while mini-fridges are provided, their cooling performance is extremely poor, rendering them practically useless. An upgrade to these refrigerators is essential, especially as a functional fridge is crucial for food preservation, particularly during the summer months.
