Insotel Club Tarida Playa

Just returned from a wonderful stay at this hotel. Was pleasantly surprised at how lovely it was. We stayed in one of the beach view apartments so only a few steps away from the gorgeous bay beach. Had read reviews that the stairs were tricky to navigate in the dark but there was outside lighting & the steps were fine for us & 2 small children. The bar staff were great. Lots of drinks options. Our girls were also thrilled with the slushy machine. Me & my husband loved the food and a different selection every night. We always found something yummy to eat. Our picky eater children struggled a little though with options. What we thought were chicken nuggets one evening were actually battered artichokes. The only time we came across chicken nuggets was during breakfast on our last day which seemed very bizarre, lol. The pool was very cold as said in other reviews but once you were in it was fine(ish) & our kids were in it every afternoon so they weren't too bothered by it. We took a taxi one day to San antonio which the reception ordered for us. It took 2 minutes to arrive & took about 20 minutes to get to San antonio & cost just under 20 euros each way. Great big shop up the road if you turn left out of the hotel. We enjoyed some of the evening entertainment & our girls liked a few visits to the kids club. All in all a great stay!

We really enjoyed our short break. The site is amazing not far from the beach. Walking distance. It’s a nice and clean and quiet area. Modern. Staff is good Ideal for family and suitable for wheel chair and pushchair. We lived the bar area. Food is ok

Great Hotel directly at the beach of the Cala Tarida. Our room was in the annex with a beautiful view of the ocean. Rooms were clean and comfy for Spanish standards. The buffet restaurant had a good selection. The staff were courteous and friendly.

Staff were excellent, Jessica was exceptional. Everywhere in the hotel was clean and comfortable, the pool and bar area were great and the nearby beach was superb. We had a fantastic sea view from our balcony and our room was clean and comfortable.

We have just returned home from spending a week at this hotel and I was pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed it. We are used to much bigger resorts with 3+ pools so this was a lot smaller. When we first arrived I was worried it was too small but we learnt to love it and I’m glad we chose it. A lovely family holiday. I am a foodie, a relatively healthy eater and I loved the food. Lovely fresh fish, meat, beautiful salads, fresh, ripe fruit, breads every single day. Usually a few nice hot options but not mass produced rubbish which I loved. If you are more of a ‘beige’ eater you may have found this boring as it was very basic on the beige front. Chips, pizza, and usually some sort of nugget was on offer but that was it. If you are a generally healthy eater, I’m sure you will love it. The only place that lacks on nice food is the beach ‘snack’ bar. It’s all frozen burgers, toasties and pizzas. It would have been nice to see a bit more variety and maybe something healthier here. Everywhere is very clean and tidy. The pools are lovely and well maintained. Rather cold but not too cold and you get used to it quickly. The kids pool is very basic. Fine for our 2 year old but older kids would need more i’d imagine. Playground was great and my 2 year old loved it. Stones throw from the beach which is absolutely beautiful. Worth a few a trips down there. There are around 4 flights of steps down to the beach which can be tricky with a pram but if you go to the right of the steps there is a steep hill that will take you down step free. If you are looking for a day out, Ibiza old town is lovely. Around €35 each way in a taxi. Taxis are fine to get from hotel and from Ibiza old town. I’d recommend going slightly earlier as it got busier as the day went on which was difficult to manage with a pram. Staff were all so lovely at the bar, restaurant, entertainment team. Overall, we had a really lovely week and I would return to this hotel! Pros - Small, intimate hotel - Family friendly - Food was lovely Cons - Very loud in corridors, waking up early due to people walking about - Kids entertainment is very basic. - 6:30pm dinner start is late. As is 8:15pm kids disco

All staff are amazing from reception, bar, housekeeping and restaurant. What lets it down is the facilities. No inside bar, so on a cold night, which they all were, we were outside and everyone had cardi’s etc had to be worn. What would happen if it rained? We were in the annex, which, the views were amazing but the stairs were terrible. We looked at google maps before booking and saw a door just outside the main gate for beach, but this was for staff only. We had to pass this door and go down 24 treacherous stairs then up another 34 to get to second floor. Four people, that we know of, fell on these stairs, 2 having to be taken to hospital with serious injuries. Need to sort this out. Not suitable for people with mobility issues like myself, and this should be advertised as such. Food was ok. Jet 2 suggest Balinese beds were included, but there is a charge, approx 25 euros for 2 adults . Never used whilst we were there. First week children’s buffet not in use. Why? Beach bar and restaurant not open yet. Why? Also my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary whilst there, and although e mailing 3 times before going this is the first time in approx 15 years that we have not had this recognised by the hotel with a wee cake, or a bottle of all inclusive cava in the room. After saying all this we did enjoy our holiday, and as I said the staff were the plus for this hotel. Well done team.

Just finished a five day stay. Absolutely loved this resort. Everything I wanted from an all inclusive holiday I got. Staff were amazing and so friendly. A special mention must be given Lolita who runs the kids club. She was brilliant with the kids and made their holiday extra special. Will definitely come back. Thank you all so much.

We stayed for 12 nights. It was the most amazing family holiday we have been on. Hotel is clean, food is great and always something for everyone, even fussy eaters. Staff are all very friendly in every part of the hotel. Bar, restaurant, entertainment, cleaning staff. Nothing was ever too much trouble for anyone. Our children are 6 and 7 and their holiday was made extremely special by Lolita who worked at the kids club. She is truly wonderful and our daughters loved her, so much that they cried saying good bye. She went above and beyond in every way! A huge thank you to her for the time and effort she puts in. The entertainment for both kids and adults is great. Always something going on through the day and night. Mini disco, some form of entertainment night which was always good, pool games, quizzes, etc.. Our room was beautiful with a sea view. The beach is not even a 2 minute walk away and even from the bar, the sunsets are incredible. Thank you so much to everyone here! We will definitely return in the future!

we're at the hotel right now. We travel a lot, we run a travel agency and I also write a blog about traveling with children. It would seem that the ideal client for the hotel can create a good relationship and help in acquiring customers. nothing could be further from the truth. we got a room filled with musty stuff, today was the 3rd night - I couldn't sleep because of the smell. did the hotel do anything? yes, he sprayed air freshener so much that I couldn't sleep at all. Yesterday the smell came back. We heard that this is how it is in such countries. it is not, we have visited too many hotels to be fooled by this. a hotel with completely untapped potential. I will describe the hotel on my blog with pleasure or displeasure.
