Riviera Beach House

The hotel is in an awesome spot! You can walk everywhere and it’s in the heart of the Santa Barbara area. We loved the lobby and spent time there relaxing. Our only issue was that the room was never cleaned and we had to ask for towels and the trash to be emptied.

​We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Riviera Beach hotel. The decor is incredibly cool and stylish, and the rooms—while on the smaller side, which is completely expected for a boutique property like this—were remarkably comfortable and well-appointed. ​The location couldn't be better. It was incredibly convenient to walk to numerous fantastic restaurants and take a scenic stroll over to Stearns Wharf. If you are looking for a cozy, character-filled spot in an unbeatable location, this is it!

The staff was wonderful. We had a king room with a garden patio. The room was so small that it barely fit anything but the bed. We had to edge around it just to move. The bathroom was tiny with few hooks or shelves. The bathroom door had no latch, swung open and closed and was frosted glass with an inch of space all around so there was very little privacy. There was nowhere to put our bags in the room or our toiletries in the bathroom. No closet and just a few drawers that were too hard to get to so we didn't use them. Thank goodness for the patio which we used as our sitting room. If you can get a smaller bed, it may be okay.

No blow dryer in room. No real closet, couldn’t hang up my dress for wedding. Room was so small that we couldn’t actually get around small suitcase to far side of the bed… again, no closet. Also no full length mirror. Property does not have an elevator. Clean and cute, but everything else was challenging.

The room was too small for a king size bed. It was difficult for two people with luggage. I could only estimate, but I don't think there was more than 10 inches to the wall on my side of the bed. Further, it was not disclosed in the hotel description that there was a charge of $45,00 per day for parking. We parked at the train station close by for $10.00.

Our room was nice but it didn’t appear our bathroom floor had been cleaned as there was a pair of contact lenses on the floor when we arrived. The room is tiny but that was expected when we booked it. There is very little floor space to put your luggage. The rooftop area is so cute. Also tiny but we loved it. The coffee in the lobby was great with flavorings. The location is perfect!

My husband and I enjoyed our 3 days and 2 nights stay. Our room was clean and have everything we needed, but what we like the most are the staff. They were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating on what we need. The lobby has welcoming atmosphere and the location is conveniently close to all the places we want to go. We'll definitely stay at the Riviera Beach House next time we're back to Santa Barbara! Keep up the good customer service.

The staff is amazing! From Nyah at the front desk to the manager, Nicole, everyone was super kind and authentic. The hotel is very clean and even smells good. You need to use valet for parking on premises. The rooms are small, but efficient and cozy. The small outdoor patio is a nice extension to the room. And, it only a short 5-min walk to the beach and restaurants!!!
