Hostal Yebisah

Just returned from our visit to Santa Eulalia and stayed again at the fantastic Yebisah it’s so friendly the owners and all the staff make you feel so welcome it’s little wonder that people return year after year.The rooms are really nice and comfortable and kept so clean by the house team who are great.The beach is 50 meters away so too are some great restaurants.

Since I had heard so much about Ibiza, I decided to go there for holidays as they told me it had beautiful beaches and not all the island was for partying. I read that the north of the island was a place to rest and enjoy the beaches around. Since I read good reviews about Yebisah Hostel, I decided to reserve 4 days but when I got a reply from them, they told me that since they were a small hotel the minimum stay was of 7 days! I was told there were buses and boats to go to other beaches around. When I arrived the lady told me that she couldn't give me my reserved room with balcony facing the street for the first two days as there was a man who didn't want to leave the room so I accepted but I didn't really like the room (309 with balcony at the back of the hotel) the bedspread was dark brown and kind of itchy when I slept. I washed my hair and realised there was no hairdryer and they told me I had to request it. I also noticed there was only hand soap Cien (from Lidl) in the bathroom and when I asked if she had any shampoo, she told me that it was only a hostel. Same for the air conditioning, it was there but when I asked for the remote control, she said I had to pay extra as electricity was very expensive now. So I used the roof fan which was fine and/or would leave the balcony door open for ventilation. After the two days I was moved to a room facing the street (102) which was very nice and bigger as I had originally requested. However, this room didn't have a safety box neither a hair dryer nor A/C but fan only. Also they only provided two towels, one big and a small one but I needed one for drying my hair so I had to request it every time as they would give me one and then the next day it was gone! They were worn out towels and I didn't understand why I had to explain why I needed an extra towel for my hair! I don't know if they behave like this with everyone or it was just me. Anyway, I was willing to put up with these small details until at night I heard the music at around 9pm. Two guys with amplified guitars were playing music at their restaurant! I told the husband who was nicer than his wife that Tanya should have warned me when she requested me to book for 7 nights, that they had live music at their restaurant some nights per week (3) so that I could take a decision. Anyway I didn't want to spoil my holiday so when the music was on, I would leave the hotel to go for late dinner. I like music but not when I want to rest. The location of the hotel is very central and in fact the beaches are not as nice as the ones near San Antonio on the west of the island. The town had a street with restaurants and bars besides the marina that had food from different parts of the world.

We’ve stayed here so many times the reasons being “The location” its 50 meters to the beach it’s very central for the shops and restaurants. Yebisah is spotlessly clean the rooms are excellent with both ceiling fan and air conditioning. It’s so peaceful all the time no noise at night so great sleep.
