Having stayed at numerous all inclusive hotels this ranks as one of the worst. Location wise its nice but there is only one pool and 2 bars. What they call the beach bar is a small restaurant facing the beach. The rooms are VERY dated and old fashioned, not been decorated in years. Damp patches on ceiling all paint is chipped, marked and scuffs on the walls. No kettle or drink making facilities and the tiny fridge is so old too. There is also only 2 sockets one in main room and one in bathroom. NO WIFI reception at all. The errrrr patio is a table and 2 tiny uncomfortable chairs on the grass outside. Reception staff not friendly at all, 3 times we asked for an extra pillow it never arrived. They simply didn't seem interested in UK guests and wouldn't exchange escudos back to Euros when we asked so we had to spend them. Staff at all the bars were not friendly either. Cleaning staff did an ok job and towels etc all changed. Entertainment was the same singer every night and theatre not much better and no drinks or bar at the theatre. You are also shouted at if you try to take drinks back to your room never known staff like it!!!!! Main dining room gets way too hot and is NOT full air conditioner, when busy they can't keep up clearing the tables too so you have to use a table with dirty dishes on and get your own cutlery and serviettes etc. Food was OK had better though. All in all a disappointing stay, not made to feel welcome and staff at times rude. A basic 3 star at best we would NOT recommend.

we were very satisfied in the hotel. the food is excellent, the hotel staff is helpful and nice. it's clean here. you need to know that the program is for Italian guests. but that is not important because the best sales agent will take care of you- SUPER MAX!!!!. A great and nice person. if you go here, you will definitely meet Max. Although Sal is not suitable for trips like Madeira, it is still beautiful here. We will definitely go to this hotel again.

Cape Verde stunning, the hotel unfortunately really only catered to the Italian clientele, as English guest no one was interested in us, we was ignored, non of the, very poor, entertainment was in English and no one asked us to join in, we had to make our presence known at the bar. We did go for two weeks and the second week was marginally better. Accommodation was ok, air con amazing and a fairly good WiFi. Food was amazing a massive selection and lovely, same with drinks, no restriction on how many and it was good beer and good ‘house’ spirits. I wouldn’t go back to this hotel as I said catered for Italian.

Let me start with the fact that I just read all the reviews over the years and it is concerning to read that nothing has changed at least over the past 6 years, I am not sure if it makes sense to write a review here. I wish I would have read the reviews on this website before coming here. This is not a 4 star hotel in my opinion. It is perfectly fine to promote this hotel to Italian speaking people, but it is not ok to write in your description that main languages in this hotel are ENGLISH, Italian, Portuguese.. this is simply not true. I arrived in the night and checked in at the reception, his English was not good, but we could understand each other. However, he told me my bungalow number and I had to find it myself with a map in my hand, nobody helped me with the luggage (2 suit cases), disappointment #1. The room as you can read is old, but it was clean, good job on that. I though ok, maybe that's how it is here but no the following week a lot of Italians arrived and were greeted with cocktails and their suit cases were brought to their rooms, which made me feel left out, because I do not speak Italian? Ok I though, whatever. When I figured out that all the animation during the day and night is also in Italian only, I was very sad, I personally travel a lot and LOVE shows and since I travel alone, I prefer to stay at the hotel in the night and this was a HUGE disappointment #2 for me. When I went to the pool, no staff member spoke to me, like they did with all Italian speaking people and you feel discriminated. At a later point of my stay one young girl from the animation team came up to me and spoke English, I was happy and she told me that this is unfortunate she understands the frustration and there are many bad reviews about it. Well guess what? 2 days later, I hear them announcing the activities in Italian and English. So it is possible, but you just decided not to before? I understand that the majority is Italian, but you still have guests from other countries and each guest should be treated equally, if this is not possible, just simply do not promote it for any other speaking people out there. As also mentioned by others, it is really ridiculous to ask the guests to pay 2 euros for 1.5 l water in an all inclusive hotel, you can refill the little bottles you have but this water is disgusting unfortunately. Positive things: the food is great, I enjoyed the meals a lot, lots of choices. There were SOME staff members who actually smiled and sayed hello, like at the lobby bar. The beach is amazing. What I would have prefered to have umbrellas and more shadow. There is one big spot with sun beds underneath, thats all the shadow you get and if you come in the afternoon good luck getting one. Air conditioning is great in the room. Could use more of it in the main restaurant. To summarize, I regret that I have booked 10 days and paid so much money to just be left out in this hotel. After speaking to some locals about the hotels we were tol

This is a seriously well run resort, spotlessly clean, plenty of sun beds both around a sparkling if chilly salt water pool and on the magnificent beach. Staff were universally friendly, helpful and competent. Special shout out to the bar and animation teams. Food was fresh and appetising. In answer to some of the criticisms I read before going, yes the walls of the bungalows are very thin but I really liked the shanty chic vibe of the brightly coloured huts nestled in the lovely garden If you need solid walls go to a concrete block somewhere. Yes this is an Italian hotel but the staff all spoke reasonable English and the guests were very varied in nationality. My only gripe was the WIFI is truly terrible , nothing at all in the rooms and precious little in reception, some days I struggled even to download emails. That notwithstanding, I'd like to think I would return here.

Hotel area looks just great, small houses surrounded by palm-trees. Pool area is adequate, plenty of beachchairs available, never had an situation where there wouldn't be a free chair available. Hotel's theme is "italian summer village" so you shall hear plenty of italy spoken there, events were mostly held using italian language. Rooms are simplified, there's actually no soundproofing between rooms, you can hear neighbor speaking like they were within your room. Food was good on many days but level changed between days, sometimes food was cold or overcooked. Level of cleaning(rooms) changed, anycase it was done daily.

We spent a wonderful week here. There was nothing wrong with it, the food was great, fresh, a large selection. The staff was very nice, smiling - receptionists, cleaners, staff in the dining room and at the bar. The funny animation program in Italian, but we didn't mind at all. We want to come back next year, it was a fantasy.

The bungalows are simple and spacious but a little tired, they could do with a facelift. The walls are paper thin if you’re unfortunate enough to have noisy neighbours. Shame there was no private outdoor space to relax or dry towels etc. A kettle would have been nice although you could get hot drinks any time from the bars. The air con was very noisy, it often woke me at night. The hotel and grounds are kept spotlessly clean by the staff, who work tirelessly. Most of the hotel guests were Italian and I think it was Italian that the animation team spoke (but could be wrong, I couldn’t understand what they were saying). Loads of people reserving sunbeds although there was no need, there were plenty. The food was pretty good, was the usual all inclusive offerings and a good variety. What really let it down was the drinks, they were awful, only local brands were included, even the soft drinks. If you wanted anything else you had to pay for it. I ordered a pina colada (my holiday tipple) which was disgusting, I couldn’t drink it. Same for the ‘Baileys’ so I stuck to water for the rest of the week. Would I return? Doubt it, I’d go somewhere English were as welcome as other nationalities and branded drinks were included.
