Santa Monica Hotel

Airconfiyion inbtbe toom was not realky wirking.

It was a good stay, beds a little uncomfortable, and no air conditioner, which is probably noted but I didn’t read anywhere there wasn’t. No fridge in room either

The room was clean and the beds comfortable but no air conditioning. You have to sleep with the window open and use a box fan. The box fan shacked an lot and made a lot of noise. The room also didn’t have outlets in convenient places. We reserved the bikes the night before. The next morning woke up and the bikes had been given to another group. The staff said there was no notes for us reserving the bikes. Very frustrating because I talked to the night staff when we checked in twice about the bikes. The hotel is 20 minute walk to Santa Monica pier.

Based on the standard room description, I assumed air conditioning was included, but that wasn't the case at this property; fortunately, the temperature dropped, and the fan in the room was somewhat sufficient—though I also had to open the doors and windows to cool the place down. The price was absolutely excessive.

Love the retro architecture of the motel. The interior was reinovated. The staff was very helpful! We would choose this motel again when we visit LA!!😀
