the hotel itself is very stylish and modern; a mix of pop art furniture and fine marble; the breakfast area and bar is also very modern and nice; the rooms are old fashioned - not dirty but would need a bit refurbishment to come up to the expectations you have entering the hotel; down to the south of Italy it is helpful to speak some words in Italian - not all staff is able to understand your english; breakfast was a bit weird: everything was prepared by the waiters which was maybe due to corona but was not quite helpful (speed and thickness of the cutted slices); coffee was made on request (very good); pool area was very nice and tidy; beach is reachable only by shuttle (car provided by hotel for free); takes you within 10 mins to the beach; beach towels can be borrowed at reception (3 E); in the surroundings there is nothing special so you need a car there, which can be parked for free in front of the hotel; problem: every day (!) there was a big wedding/event; sometimes of course with loud music/noise; the hotel is more a party location than a hotel to stay for a relaxing holiday; Amalfi coast is about 1 hour drive

Very disappointed. Booked 4 nights after checking on line that everything was still open. We arrived by train and everything looked okay. The first room we were taken to would not unlock after several minutes and feeling rather nervous we were given another room. We then headed to the pool as the weather was nice the pool water fountains weren't working and it did not look very well maintained but we ventured in. Pool bar was closed as was the hotel bar. We then discovered that the restaurant was also closed. Nowhere on the hotels website did it give this information, we had no transport so did the 30 minute walk to the nearest restaurant. Next day after been woken early by yapping dog the weather wasn't good, looked at the indoor pool but again not fully working or maintained and not heated. I complained to reception about the lack of facilities available if we spent time in the hotel, ie no lunch or dinner available and was told they could do some toast at lunch time if I requested it at reception. We took the free bikes out instead and that was the only good thing about this hotel. We had booked 4 nights, something I would not have done if I had known the restaurant was closed. I asked to check out early because of the lack of facilities available to us and was informed it was hotel policy not to refund the un used nights. I understand this in certain circumstances but they did not provide us with the facilities they were advertising. They also advise no pets but that didn't apply to the managers yapping dog that woke us at 7am each morning. We checked out after 2 nights and no they did not refund us for the u used nights. Make sure before you book this hotel everything is open. If not you definitely need a car. I would not recommend this hotel.

A year end with the family, we spent 3 days of relaxation, with spa path shared with our children, good food, a year-old menu with delicate and searched tastes. A greeting to the organization, perfect, careful to every detail, from the room care, very clean and dressed daily, to the service in the room, to the restaurant's proposals, having chosen the full pension formula, and to breakfast. Immense green spaces and open air, to break the spine is the ideal. Near Paestum. Excellent price quality ratio, countless offers all year, will be a reason to return to us.

Positives 1. Parking for the apartments is right next to the apartments. 2. There is a decent sized swimming pool that we had access to next to the apartment so we didn’t need to use the bigger pool that was used for weddings. 4. The pool we used was a 1 minute walk from the apartment and wasn’t busy. 5. The bedroom was of a good size. 6. The kitchenette was functional. 7. It was possible to wash our baby in the bathroom, although tight the shower was big enough to put our travel inflatable baby bath in the base. 8. Beach was very nice as long as you sat in the 3rd row of chairs it was free. 9. The smell of eucalyptus trees on the way to the beach was nice. 10. The sea was a 10 minute walk, even with the baby and the heat it was easy to do and didn’t use the shuttle bus once. 11. Local shops are limited but good enough. (Didn’t find any baby formula though) 12. The staff were as accommodating with questions as my no Italian and their broken English allowed. 13. They let us settle our bill the night before we left as we were leaving early and they said there would only be a skeleton staff. 14. Using toll roads it’s only about 1 and half hours from Naples airport. (Don’t leave “avoid tolls” on like I did initially as that drive wasn’t fun and took and extra hour) 15. Toll was €2.10, I used cards and this worked every time although the transaction on a Sunday didn’t appear on my statement for 2 days, all other days the toll came off the card immediately. 16. We used the big pool in the photos once. It was nice and the baby liked it on a day when there weren’t any weddings. 17. Paestum really was very close and fully worth a visit. 18. Pompeii was only about an hour away with a €2.10 toll each way. 19. Decent safe in the bedroom, could fit my 13” laptop. 20. Hair dryer in bathroom was ok. Negatives 1. The large pool was closed for weddings between 12:30 and 15:30 and not cleaning as we had been told. 2. We weren’t disrupted by the weddings but they were every day from what a guest staying in the main hotel said. 3. No kettle in the apartment. 4. No iron in the apartment. 5. Massive sink in a small bathroom was a bit odd. 6. The shower, glass door runner always jammed and had clearly been “repaired” at some point. The kitchen tap and the shower water are connected so don’t use them both at the same time or the temperature gets very severely affected. 7. The apartment only had a single free bed linen change which did not include a room clean. 8. There was a €40 charge to clean the room which included towels and bed linen change 9. The AC only went down to 21° 10. The large AC unit outside between the apartments and the car park was very noisy and could be heard in the apartment at night. 11. Reception staff had better English than I have Italian, not really a bad point but a bit difficult as I have no Italian. I used google translate a lot. 12. Breakfast was very limited. We absolutely enjoyed our stay in Hotel Raito in vietri sul Mare! The hotel has a great pool, a well maintained garden and a restaurant where we used our breakfast where nothing was missing. Our room had a beautiful view over the Gulf of Salerno, both daytime and nighttime. We were very glad with this service! Beside this service, the staff of the desk, in the restaurant and near the pool were very friendly and willingly help us when we asked for it. We used the penddle bus a couple of times and that was an extra service to go to the city or to the beach of Vietri. We highly recommend this hotel!

This small Boutique Hotel is an absolute gem. We stayed for 4 nights and traveled around Southern Italy. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Hotel is immaculately clean. Decor is extremely pleasant. There is gentle music playing on the corridor of the hotel which is a fantastic idea in terms of privacy. Plenty of options for breakfast. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to family and friends.

We stayed here for 10 nights at the end of October/November time. There had been lots of changes with air travel but the hotel accommodated everything for us. We had a suite for the full 10 nights which we can recommend, very comfortable and enough space to move around in when staying for a while. The balcony overlooked the valleys and hills in the distance, and the hotel gardens which are spacious and well kept. Rooms were serviced when requested, and the minibar/fridge was a welcome addition to our comfort. We had a hire car which we were able to park securely at the bottom of the hill from the hotel, less than 5 minutes walk away. There is a little shop you can pop into on the way to/from the car park which is run by a charming man who will provide sandwiches, lunch items, etc if you want them, as well as other everyday items. Breakfast at the hotel is included, and of a high standard. The restaurant serves high quality food from a small but acceptable menu, and as we were staying for a while we found them very accommodating for making things for us that weren’t on the menu, or changing menu items to our taste (eg no nuts, etc). The food appeared fresh and was cooked and served with care and with friendly and professional service. The chef regularly sent us free appetisers of a high quality too. We were even treated to some wine lessons and recommendations by our knowledgeable host, which was really nice and welcomed by us. The bar was well stocked, and snacks were served with our aperitif every time, sometimes hot from the kitchen and other times nibbles from the local area. We went to a local restaurant (La Foce) a few times too for a bit of variety, and had no problems there or with the hotel doing this. The other restaurant is about 15/20 mins walk away up hill, but downhill coming back! It seems hotel guests often go there, and they looked after us very well too. The reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and gave us some welcome suggestions for things to do, including providing info on the best way to travel the fairly nearby Amalfi Coast by ferry. We had a really nice stay and were able to really relax after the trials and tribulations of the previous year and a half due to covid. We felt safe at this hotel too, and they were well aware of safety measures to reduce any risks for guests and staff. We can wholeheartedly recommend this venue for a relaxing stay with access to the local area. We found it useful to have a car, although there is a regular local bus service too for guests who want to use public transport. This makes the hotel more accessible to all guests even though it is high up on a hill, the views are breathtaking though and make up for needing to travel to get to other areas. It was a wonderful base for us and we will definitely try to go back again. All credit to a wonderful location and to the amazing staff who were always willing to go that extra mile to care for us. The hotel was very comfortable and was very clean and was very close to the centre and we had no public funding. If you have luck you are free parking under the stable ( we found it). Otherwise, the lady recommends a parking at 4/5 euro per day. The area has many stores and supermarkets right on the stable road. The bar under the palace is convenient to make breakfast. Perfectly I would say. The only things I don't put 5 stars because the room is too cold. The air conditioners to heat the room take a lot to heat the environment and the bathroom is cold because it is not heated, also I had problems with the hot water of the shower after 3 Min I found to do the cold shower . After 15 Min, however, it was divided into the cold of the room the cold of the shower was a huge discomfort, which is why my companion had to do the shower the next day. Finally, cmq is a apartment divided in b&b so not suitable for those who do not tolerate the minimum noise.. for me it was not a problem.

My husband and I stayed at the Duca Marigliano Boutique Hotel in Paestum, Italy in March 2023. We went to Paestum to visit the Greek Ruins - and this hotel was walking distance. Even though we were only there one night, the service was wonderful. The hotel is charming and the food is delicious. We were not there during high tourist season - so we were one of 3 couples at the hotel for the one night we were there. The hotel restaurant was quiet when we went in the later evening - but we were welcomed an catered to. We only ordered dessert (as we were very full from our late lunch at San Salvator La Dispensa - yum), but they brought out samples of other desserts for free. In the morning, we were welcomed to a breakfast that was included in the night stay fee. The food was absolutely amazing. Lots of traditional foods and the best Earl Grey Tea - with steamed milk - that I had during my stay in Italy. Huge shout out to Pietro, who served us. Pietro went above and beyond at dinner and breakfast. As it was not tourist season, not everything in the hotel was open (sauna, outside seating areas) - I can imagine that the grounds are beautiful in the late spring, summer months. We would definitely return to this hotel.
