It was good for the price. City is beautiful and looks safe. Lot of places to eat, stores around.
Minus for distance to Santiago centre - nothing is mentioned prior booking how to get by bus. Only by car. As we been from Camino Santiago, it was a bit uncomfortable to get there. Taxi costed 15€.
Cleanness - was for the price, a bit sorry for torn out towel.
Small disappointment - pool. As I understand now, we should use for access, as it could be in big hotel opposite side of street.
Amenities - great.
Reception - great.

They allowed us in a room with a bunk bed, in the end they changed it to one with 2 single beds at the same level, the area is in total disrepair, it is nothing comparable to the photos on the reservation. It is forsaken of the hand of God, they are like tin shacks and they don't even do maintenance.
There was a busted ATM, the hall was abandoned and they attend to you at the Hotel Congreso, which informed us of a vehicle that was passing by there. The fire extinguishers are rusty and expired, with which they do not have the minimum security measures. The towels were torn and the blankets were...
It was quite chaotic.... We stayed because there was really no other accommodation available... Everything was saturated. They should notify the reality so that people decide if they want to take an accommodation of these characteristics.
In my case I went and bought all the cleaning and toilet products and disinfected the entire room since I was going to be there at night. Anyway. As you can see, my assessment is super negative because what they sell us on the web is not real. It is all super deteriorated and I repeat without security measures established by law.

The hotel was good, but I thought it would be inconvenient especially for those going to Santiago because there are only a few buses going to Santiago, especially on holidays.

I will start off by saying this is a valid cheap option. There is a bus that goes to the city center but it is not frequent and run every 3-4 hours. The staff were very friendly and helpful. As for the room itself, I understand why it is one star. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable and the bathroom floor was always wet due to what we discovered was leaking out of the base of the toilet.

The worst hotel I have stayed in, luckily we only stayed for one night. It looked like an abandoned container facility, the sheets looked like they had never been washed, the whole room smelled musty, the shower curtain was black with dirt, there was no internet, TV, fan, swimming pool .There was no 24 hour reception either, the reception was served by hotel Congreso .I do not recommend it to anyone !Better a little more money for something more humane

I was bitten by mosquitoes inside the room, I couldn't sleep and I had to cancel my stay, leaving the room at 2, the Hotel Congreso refunded me the full amount but put it as an invalid card concept, so that no expenses were incurred for them.
