La Joyita Cuernavaca

My family and I stayed at the Bugambilia room (garden view, first floor with a king size and a small patio) and Tabachin (garden view, second floor with 2 queens and a balcony) and had an awesome and relaxing time. We even said that we should have stayed here our whole visit in Cuernavaca for a wedding, instead of the hotel where the wedding was celebrated. As people have mentioned, the hotel is hacienda style and some of the rooms close to the lobby have tables for people eating in the restaurant to sit there. So you can ask for a further room, if you want more privacy. Both rooms were very clean, spacious including the bathroom and shower (no tubs). Tabanchin had an extra sofa. We noticed that there were no TV's, but it didn't bother us. I think this is mostly to rest. My sister and I enjoyed lounging in our robes and sitting on the balcony after swimming. The hotel staff was so gracious, on Sunday when we were leaving, there is only buffet. However, they allowed us to order from a smaller menu and it was excellent. They even show me the Nespresso machine they use for their cappuccinos that were delicious. During our visit, the hotel was not crowded and quiet. We were able to use the pool and the hot tub. However, on a weekend or closer to holidays might be busier. The pool was also heated but since Cuernavaca was hot, it was not needed, maybe on a colder month. We also saw a wedding photoshoot at the hotel. The hotel has a great location too, is about 8 -10 min from downtown in car.

Overall this hotel is ok, I enjoyed 2 days here with my girlfriend, but I will not return in the future The property is beautiful and unique in its style. Staff are extremely friendly and the food was very good. Pool, jacuzzi and garden are really nice However, there are several things that made me not want to return: - staff is not very professional or well trained (for example, it's really hard to get waiter's attention as they're typically chatting among them) - we had an issue with the room we reserved, as the pictures in ******* do not match the room you are a actually booking - rooms around the pool are extremely noisy and small. People start having breakfast right outside your window at 7am - rooms further away in the garden are more private and larger, but not as well decorated

The staff was excellent. Very helpful and kind. The breakfast at the restaurant was very good and we ate there each morning. The room was very comfortable and we enjoyed how it was decorated. Short drive from the center of town, so lots of dining options when you get to that area.

Nice please but rooms are outdated and need new sheets

This is a small Hoel on a quiet street set on a beautiful property with a large garden area. Half of the property is grass, plants and trees. It is a quiet oasis and exactly what we have been seeking. There are a pool and hot tub. Staff go out of their way to ensure your stay is all that you expect. The restaurant is open to 10 pm. We had several meals and all were delicious. We visit Cuernavaca 4 times each year and this was our first stay at La Joyita. We will be returning.

We spent four nights at the hotel and did enjoy our stay. The hotel is in a nice neighbourhood and close to the historic centre (10 to 15 minutes). The rooms are spacious, quiet and in a hacienda style. The staff is attentive, and we found it very comfortable being there and relaxed in the garden or on the terrace in front of the room.

Beautiful gardens exceedingly helpful staff!! Room was spotless and very artistically decorated. One of the best places I’ve stayed in Mexico!!
