First of all, this hotel itself is quite good, especially if you like ants and beverage stains.
The front desk receptionists of this hotel, as the first impression you get when you arrive, have a rather problematic service attitude. Before coming to this hotel, all the Greek people I had met were very friendly and warm.
But when I checked in at 3 p.m. on 16 September 2026, the two female front desk receptionists that day not only completely lacked hospitality, but one of them, the woman wearing glasses, was extremely rude.
I am specifically pointing out the problems with these two people not because I want you to form a bad impression of this hotel. I just genuinely feel sorry for the hotel, because the behaviour of these two staff members will definitely give future guests a poor experience.
Here’s what happened. That day I simply and very politely pointed out to the front desk woman wearing glasses that there was a large puddle of what must have been a beverage stain left by the previous guest on the floor right outside my room door. The sticky floor had a pile of ants on it, and the ants were slowly entering my room. That woman wearing glasses actually replied to me: “This is the nature.” Then she really put on a black face right in front of me and started mocking me with her colleague in what I assume was the local Greek language. I was genuinely a bit stunned at that moment — is this really the standard of hospitality at this hotel? After that she simply did not deal with the problem at all. That sticky stain and the ants stayed right outside my door the entire day.
Actually I don’t care whether the problem itself can be solved or not. As long as she had once enthusiastically tried to help me, I would have felt very happy. But she actually blackened her face in front of me and mocked me — that is simply unacceptable. I guess it was because I was interrupting her while she was lazily sitting in the air-conditioned front desk area, so she felt annoyed. If that’s the case, then she shouldn’t be working as a front desk receptionist. Behaviour like this will seriously damage the hotel’s brand image.
I know this isn’t some extremely serious problem — after all, I quite like ants. But her way of handling it and her attitude really will leave a stain on your trip.
P.S. Special praise to the two men who helped guests with their luggage and to Anna who served breakfast. They are extremely friendly and attentive — they are definitely important assets of the hotel.
