I'm someone who hates hassle and doesn't want to switch hotels mid-trip, so I spent days looking at almost every hotel in Sanya before finally settling on this one. It's a new hotel that just opened this year, right by the sea, and boasts an infinity pool – perfect for photos. I booked a sea-facing room, and you can see the ocean from every corner of the room. There's also a large balcony where lounging on the sofa and watching the sea was incredibly relaxing. The hotel is located between Sanya Bay and Dadonghai. If you're like me and want to casually visit a few signature attractions, this spot is perfect. It's not too far from West Island or Nanshan, and quite close to the Coconut Dream Corridor. However, if your main goal is just to stare at the sea and zone out, you might prefer a hotel with a private beach in Yalong Bay or Haitang Bay. The Belmont doesn't have a beach right downstairs, and rooms with similar ocean views in those other hotels would likely cost at least double what I paid here.
