This JW Marriott and Autograph Collection are in the same complex, so staying at either allows you to enjoy the bar and pool of the other. Here's my review of the JW: **Service:** Excellent, a definite five-star-plus rating. After booking, a guest butler added me on WeChat. Upon check-in, Lydia assisted me, and my ocean-view room reservation was upgraded (I'm not sure if this was related to my Marriott Platinum status). Lives up to Marriott's standards, plus they gave a free room upgrade and complimentary extra bed for our three-night stay, which was great! 👍 It's a quiet spot in Dadonghai but still close to the action, definitely worth staying at. This time in Sanya, I stayed at three hotels: one in Sanya Bay, one in Haitang Bay, and the JW Marriott Hotel Sanya Dadonghai Bay. First off, we had an ocean-view executive room with breathtaking sea views, and a large loungeraise on the balcony, perfect for a relaxing vacation. Secondly, the service was truly excellent. The room was spacious and well-equipped. The kids absolutely loved the children's play area. Breakfast had a wide variety of options, just make sure not to go too late as it can get quite crowded. The pool was very clean, and they even offered us a paddleboard lesson, which the kids really enjoyed! We didn't get a chance to do the travel photography. The bunk beds in the family room were a hit with the kids, and the paddleboarding experience was great too. The travel photography was a bit pricey, but the photographer was indeed excellent. Jill🪼 The service was pretty good; any issues were promptly resolved, and they even have a robot to deliver takeout. Since I was traveling with a child, I had a lot of clothes, but the hotel quickly helped with that too. There are also quite a few attractions nearby, which was very convenient. Huge thanks to the incredibly warm and wonderful Lydia for the amazing room upgrade – truly appreciated! ❤️ And a big shoutout to the thoughtful Sharry for making our family vacation so comfortable. The hotel's service is incredibly detailed and attentive; the front desk helped us call taxis daily, opened doors, and answered every question we had. The Chinese restaurant service was also excellent. The outdoor playground is huge, and the indoor one has so many activities that the kids never wanted to leave. There were plenty of family activities too. The hotel breakfast was also great; that noodle soup was so delicious I had at least two bowls every day, haha! The hotel's location is excellent, offering a quiet retreat while still being close to Dadonghai Beach. It was my first time staying in Dadonghai, and it was quite good. There's a pleasant row of shops along the path from the hotel to Dadonghai Beach. The hotel has indoor and outdoor playgrounds, and it's very clean. The only downside is they don't offer childcare services. The room facilities are great, and the bathroom is spacious. Unfortunately, the hotel pool isn't heated (hopefully they'll consider adding that). The hotel service was good. On a side note, Dadonghai Beach surprisingly has finer sand than Yalong Bay! Hygiene: It was okay, I didn't notice any major issues. However, the handle on the integrated fridge door was a bit sticky, which suggests it wasn't cleaned properly. Environment: The location is pretty good, and the facilities are quite comprehensive. The only downside is that it's a bit far from the restaurants in Dadonghai, about a 20-minute walk. Our first stop for the winter break trip to Sanya! Rose, our wonderful butler, added me on WeChat several days in advance, providing thoughtful and comprehensive service. When we got out of the car, the bellhop single-handedly took care of all four of our bags! He was so impressive carrying all of them. Initially, we thought about checking in at the lobby on the first floor, but there were quite a few people waiting. Rose suggested we go directly to the executive lounge on the 3rd floor instead. The lobby attendant kindly guided us to the elevator, which was very considerate! Once at the executive lounge, I handled the check-in while the seniors took the kids to get some water and fruit. Sharry prepared a birthday surprise for us that went far beyond anything we expected.
