An absolutely wonderful stay! Butler Jolin contacted me the day before to coordinate our arrival details, making the check-in process the next day a breeze. When we got to the room, the sea-view room Jolin arranged for us was just amazing 🌹 Being on a high floor with a direct ocean view, the perspective was wide open, and the Coconut Dream Corridor was right across the way. During our stay, whenever I had a question, Jolin replied in seconds. She even brought us complimentary cookies and fruit! Her service was so thoughtful, and I'm very grateful—definitely deserve a big thumbs-up~ Down on the basement level (B1), there's a family activity center with a swimming pool, a water park, and kids' programs, including DIY crafts and water bubble fun. Dining and entertainment around the area are also super convenient, with night markets, the "Eye of the Sea," and local eateries all nearby. It was fantastic! We originally only booked for two nights, but decisively extended our stay right after checking in. All in all, Howard Johnson Resort Sanya Bay offers incredible value for money!

Howard Johnson Resort Sanya Bay has been around for many years. I've previously stayed at the nearby Pullman and The Shanhaitian Resort. This year, since we drove down from Haikou and headed back to the mainland from Sanya, we chose Howard Johnson for our last night because of its proximity to the airport. I didn't have high expectations at first, but the actual experience was great and exceeded my expectations. Excellent value for money. The public areas are quite spacious, and the service is warm and enthusiastic—it has that welcoming Southeast Asian vibe, which I honestly didn't feel at hotels in Haitang Bay or Yalong Bay. The breakfast selection is decent too. Although it doesn't have a private beach, it's still quite convenient. They proactively upgraded our room, and the rates are reasonable. Well-deserved 5 stars!

The hotel called us several days in advance to ask about our room preferences and desired floor, and even added the butler's WeChat. On the day of check-in, the butler informed us that our room had been upgraded to a sea-view room on the 13th floor. Opening the window revealed a stunning sea view, the scenery was absolutely fantastic! 🤩🤩🤩 Upon arriving at the hotel entrance, a doorman immediately helped us with our luggage and took it to the front desk. Even though there were many guests checking in, the process was very quick. During check-in, we mentioned needing mosquito repellent, and they promptly gave us four bottles. In the afternoon, a staff member delivered a generous fruit platter to our room. There was so much fruit, we couldn't even finish it all by the time we left! 😂 The restaurant offered a wide variety of breakfast options, including Chinese, Western, and local specialties, and the breakfast hours were long enough for us to enjoy a hearty meal. The hotel also provided a complimentary travel photoshoot, with five photos per room. The photographer's skills were quite good, so definitely make sure to get it done.

The hotel facilities are extremely comprehensive, featuring a massive pool complex separated into adult pools, a children's water playground, and shallow areas, making it a fantastic experience for family trips. It's ideal for parents traveling with kids who want a relaxing, hassle-free vacation. The buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of both Chinese and Western options with extended service hours, catering to diverse tastes. Special thanks to KAY for the attentive service—we received a room upgrade along with complimentary fruits and cookies, and all our requests were handled promptly.

Great for families! They have free kids' activities every day, a nice pool, and it's super close to the beach. The breakfast is amazing, there are plenty of restaurants around, and getting taxi/transport is very convenient. Will definitely stay here again next time.

The hotel room was very clean and tidy, and the staff were excellent and attentive. The outdoor pool was beautiful, and my child absolutely loved it. It's a great hotel for families with kids. My child didn't want to leave – a truly wonderful hotel! 👍👍👍

The room was clean and odorless! The staff were excellent and very efficient! The room was spacious, facing the sea directly. It was very quiet with the door closed. The takeaway concierge delivered food right to our room. They even rushed to help us with our bags as soon as we got out of the car! So thoughtful. The kids' club was also very large. There were many lifeguards at the pool, and the pool itself was very clean! Everything here is better than the Pullman next door. Staying here was a very smart choice.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay! A special shout-out to Lucia for her warm, attentive hospitality over the past two days—she had such a wonderful attitude, answered all our questions, and was always quick to help. The room was great, very clean and comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed, making for a truly enjoyable stay. The hotel grounds are beautiful and perfect for a relaxing stroll. The attention to detail in the service really made us feel at home. We will definitely choose to stay here again next time. Highly recommended!

Jeff, the room butler, kindly upgraded me to a sea-view room for free, which was fantastic. Even when a hotel staff member delivered food to the wrong door, Jeff still came to apologize and brought me two boxes of Qingbuliang (a local dessert soup). The hotel also has a dedicated underground passage directly to the beach, and the swimming pool is great – my kids had a wonderful time.

The room was spotless, and the hotel staff were incredibly warm and attentive. The hotel concierge even contacted me in advance to handle my check-in. During my stay, the front desk was very thoughtful, delivering toiletries and food deliveries to our room. Both upon arrival and departure, the lobby staff were helpful with our luggage. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.

The room was quite good. We booked a suite, and Jeff called beforehand to arrange it. The view and the room itself were excellent; my child loved it. The staff at the kids' club, especially Jynne Chen, were also great. However, the restaurant wasn't good, and the seafood wasn't very fresh.

The hotel is in a great location, just a 10-minute taxi ride from the airport. It's within walking distance of the Eye of the Sea Night Market, as well as KFC and McDonald's. It's also very close to the trendy Yanglan Market, making dining and snacking super convenient. There's a dedicated underground walkway directly to the beach, which leads to a bistro bar featuring live music—it gets very lively in the evenings. The hotel is a bit dated, but it's well-maintained. The public areas are spacious, featuring three outdoor pools, though only the main pool and the kids' pool were open. After 4 PM, the kids' pools are nicely shaded by trees, so you don't have to worry about sunburn. The service was excellent. Our butler, KAY, reached out via WeChat a day prior, helped upgrade our room, and proactively sent up a fruit platter. Opening the door to that stunning ocean view was such a pleasant surprise! The staff were plentiful and took their jobs very seriously. During our 4-night stay, someone was always there to open and close car doors whenever we took a cab. Housekeeping was prompt, and any requests for extra bath towels or bottled water were delivered immediately upon calling.

KAY's service was very prompt, and we even got a room upgrade. The front desk staff also helped deliver our food orders to the room, which was very convenient for our family trip. We'd definitely choose Guoguang again next time.
