Terrible front desk service. The Japanese staffs just lacked overall willingness to work. When I approached them to inquire about something, they would give me side eyes and whisper to themselves in Japanese and even laugh.. (for what tho?). I was surprised it's a hotel and the staffs can't even communicate with visitors at a basic level so instead I had to communicate in my minimal Japanese and they laughed at me and whispered something to themselves..
At the time of my check in, I witnessed a phone call from a visitor upstairs and I could overhear the converstation because it was quite loud. She seemed to really need help and was explaining her situation only to be cut off in the middle by the staff repeating "Sorry no English! SORRY NO SPEAK ENGLISH!" I think there could hv been other ways.. like they could have pass the call to another staff who could actually understand and help her out.
Not only that, but they are ready to give you the wrong info very confidently because I was only able to get the airport bus info I needed after inquiring 3 times to 3 different staffs (each time with different answers). I specifically approached the the young male staff who was able to speak English but when I inquired him he immediate responded "Sorry no speak English." He wouldnt even give me his full attention--wouldn't bother making an eye contact and just kept scribbling down whatever he was doing. The only staff who was actually kind and helpful was a non-Japanese foreign staff.
Also, I booked the hotel because of the SPA. However, the tubs were dirty and overcrowded. You can visibly see dead skin cells floating above water so it wasn't hygienic. I ended up taking baths in my room.
Other than that the hotel is fairly new so the facility is generally nice but for the 7 days I stayed there, the unpleasant quality of service and unprofessional attitude shown by the front desk staffs was disappointing.. Shocking actually! So if you are going to stay here, don't expect a helpful service.
