Jr Inn Sapporo-Eki Minami-Guchi Reviews

It's a bit of a walk from Sapporo Station, about 12 minutes. I stayed for three nights and booked a room with breakfast. The set menu, with five choices each day, was quite good. On the first floor, there's a large public bath with a relaxation area and magazines, a water dispenser at the entrance, and a laundry room. The room with two 1.1-meter beds isn't too small for Japan. Overall, it was a good experience. It's about a seven or eight-minute walk to Odori Park and the TV Tower.

The location is decent. While it's a bit far from the JR station, there's an airport shuttle right outside the hotel, and express buses from places like Noboribetsu to Sapporo also stop nearby. Most of the local attractions are within walking distance. However, there's only one pillow in the room, so guests who need extra pillows from the lobby might want to check in earlier.

Very convenient location, near the JR train station Sapporo. Room size is alright for overnight stay, not overly small. Friendly front desk members, able to communicate with some English proficiency. The hotel has a public bath. Breakfast are in sets.

Nice & clean hotel room, everything is perfect, enjoy staying at this hotel. Breakfast set is simple & nice, love it.

Location was excellent. Very close to the bus stop for buses arriving from Chitose airport and noboribetsu. Easy walk to Sapporo station. Staff were friendly and helpful. Onsen was nice, although I don’t think it’s mineral onsen water. More of a hot water public bath but it was fun and relaxing nonetheless. They have a library of popular manga in Japanese. Room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. I liked the environmentally friendly option of travellers donating items they no longer want/need to reception who will help to donate it to welfare groups. Pillow bar unfortunately didn’t really have any stock of pillows to choose from so was a bit redundant.

Excellent stay! The hotel is convenient and easy to access, with great transportation links. It's also very quiet and comfortable. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, even bowing. There's a large public bath and laundry facilities (washer and dryer) on the basement level. It's super convenient for getting to the JR station and exploring Aomori at night.

The room isn't huge, but it's big enough to fit two 28-inch suitcases. The sink is outside the bathroom. The hot spring pool downstairs is tiny and I wouldn't recommend it – it didn't seem very clean and had a lot of hair in it. The hotel's location is decent, quite close to Exit 24 of Sapporo Station, and there's a convenience store nearby. There's also a good set-menu restaurant right next door. I'd still recommend it overall.

Within walking distance of Sapporo Station, but the room window faced a very close building, so we couldn't open the curtains. The hotel seems to cater mostly to business travelers. The service was mediocre and fell short compared to other hotels; there was hardly any traditional Japanese hospitality. I lost something in the public bath and when I asked the front desk, they just said, "Nothing's been reported here," with a very unconcerned attitude. I won't be staying again, and I don't recommend it.

The room itself is quite spacious for this type of hotel, easily accommodating two 28-inch suitcases. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, including a large and comfortable onsen (hot spring bath) that's perfect for unwinding after a long journey.

The hotel was conveniently located and was clean and well kept. Only challenge was that the carpark was a bit narrow for our 7-seater Toyota Alphard to get in and out of. We decided to park at the open carpark that was just next to the hotel instead.

Value for money. Very attentive service. Love the pillow corner. Breakfast in the restaurant downstairs is also value for money.

Even though 'JR' is in the hotel's name, it's not actually that close to the JR station – about a 10-minute walk. There's a convenience store right across from the hotel. If convenience for getting around is a top priority for you, I wouldn't really recommend this place, especially if you're hauling luggage in snowy weather.

The hotel is very close to the Sapporo Station exit, and most importantly, it's very close to the boarding point for the Jozankei Kappa Liner bus. You can easily walk there with your luggage, and there's a Yamato Transport (Kuroneko) service nearby where you can send your bags. The hotel's service is excellent; the front desk has a translation device that makes communication smooth. There's a smoking room on the first floor and a laundry room with washers and dryers, along with a public bath, in the basement. The hotel room is also good, perfect for two people.
