"I wanted to spend some time after the Olympics to see some castles and visit with a friend from high school. I stayed at La Couleuvrine for a few days and loved every minute of it. First the room is clean and the staff was super nice. Second, the location was perfect. It is just a couple minute walk to the town square that has strewn performers and a market that gets even bigger on Saturday. So much energy and life there. I got to get in three castles while I was there within 20 minutes. There was Kayaking on a river nearby. My room did have ac but understand not all do, so if you need it be sure to ask. At night it was cool so windows would work and I was out during the day. I am already looking at when I can come back to see and do more. "

"The positive points: A 5-minute walk from the medieval center, We had a room on the parking lot side, quiet, The bedding was comfortable. The negative points: The reception is shared with another hotel, so there is little presence on site, not even when guests arrive. The paid parking is in an area behind the hotel, up high, accessible by a moss-covered ramp, an ice rink when it rained. The staircase leading to the rooms is very narrow, difficult to manage with luggage, especially between the 1st and 2nd floors where the steps are also crooked. The manager (or perhaps owner) did not appreciate me pointing this out to him at all. "I know my establishment, Madam" was his only response. Our bathroom/toilet was tiny, using the toilet required sitting sideways (and yet I am not tall)... We do not recommend."

A beautiful terrace allows you to relax or even take a meal out when the time is from the side. The hotel is very good, and the entire team is in small care. With friendliness and service sense, we are in the meeting. We were happy to stay at Hotel le Meysset and we recommend it without hesitation!"

"Julie and Francoise were so welcoming and helpful. Could not be bettered. The bedroom was satisfactory even thought the en-suite was a little quirky. Dining outside was great. We were 1/2 board with a predetermined limited menu. No problem if you arrive early as there is a very nice swimming pool and lounge beds."

"Don't let Eric and Laurence steal your money. Unfortunately I had to cancel a 7 night stay for July 2025. I'd booked through their website with free cancellation, with the cancellation policy stating "cancellable without fees". Eric and Laurence apparently have a different definition of free cancellation, and are insisting on keeping my deposit despite this not being mentioned in the terms and conditions at the time of booking. Don't risk losing your money, or giving your business to greedy and dishonest proprietors."

"Lovely hosts, Frank and Nanne ? A home stay with a continental breakfast, in a country style dining room. The outdoor garden overlooking the hills is picturesque. A kitchen ( an attached building) with seatings enables guests to cook simple meals or bring in food. Frank offers good tips on places to visit and dine. Nanne was so kind to help with my wife luggage up to the 1st floor where our room is. She was generous to give a couple of the succulent plants to my wife when my wife wanted a couple of leaves for propagation. We didn't have enough time to " savour" the garden as we have our itinerary ( including Frank's recommendations). A very pleasant stay indeed and a big thank to the hospitable hosts."

Anne Laure served dinner by the pool and you feel well taken care with the carefully selected food ingredients and well curated wine list. And the breakfast! Every morning different dishes by using local farmers products, especially the freshly made banana cake melted in our mouths. We could have not wished anything better. On top of these services, Anne Laure shares generously tips what to do in the region and where to eat. We trusted fully on her advices and were not disappointed.
