A really great experience staying in mountain resort koh lipe as it is my 1st time there...easy check in...nice and big room...nice view from the room..from the lobby you can access to the beach by going down the stairs and be greated by a very nice and clear water from the sea itself..and you can book directly from the hotel for your trip for island hopping at a reasonable price too..and they picked you up from the beach just in front of the hotel..they also provide shuttle service to the famous walking street of koh lipe in the evening starting from 6pm to 9pm..the only downside i can say is the rain shower...if the pressure of the water can be a little bit faster...it will be nice...

We are staying at the Site and we will stay for 6 days I have to say that our choice was really azaka! Big, clean and comfortable room, friendly and competent staff and ready to meet our requests from booking back to instructions on anything .The structure provides many services from tuk tuk to reach the room to They are always clean and in order . The breakfast is Asian and continental, perhaps we Italians would like some bricks but it's fine and suitable, the restaurant on the beach makes fantastic fruit drinks and the dishes are good if you don't want to go away. Point of beach among the most beautiful of the island and I feel recommend it .

The rooms are separated into houses in the resort area. The interior is clean, the bathrooms are good, and there are many check-in photo spots. Free-range rabbits around the hotel You can take pictures with the rabbits at any time. During the stay, the weather is hot, so the air conditioner cools very slowly. Parking is convenient, but you have to open and close the fence yourself because you're wary of rabbits coming out. Overall, I recommend V-Volley.

Large room and a comfortable bed. I liked the balcony area and hearing the birds singing. Not too far from the 'downtown' area. But about 3km from the bus station.

Overall would say that the hotel is OK. The staffs are also OK. Only one lady staff that speaks English. It's not a problem can still use phone translator. Room is big and spacious, with a very nice view facing the hills. Everything is OK with the room except for the shower. They should do something about the shower. Hairdryer is very good. Breakfast can be obtain from a shop opposite the hotel (come out turn left and cross the street) just a few shops away from the hotel, selling very good Chicken Murtabak and also Egg with Banana Roti Canai. Location of hotel is perfect. There is ample car park behind the hotel. There is an entrance to the hotel from the car park. There is also a mini mart right next to the hotel on the right. Overall would recommend this hotel.

Outstanding
GGuest UserFrom the moment we arrived via boat to the most beautiful setting, we were breath taken! The private beach is great for snorkeling and safe for kids. Our room (no. 6) was a good size, nice balcony, some sea views and comfortable. Staff were warm, welcoming and helpful, especially the receptionist who was always smiling and super friendly. Of our 8-day stay in Koh Lipe, we spent 3 nights here. By comparison, the hotel we moved to next was marginally cheaper, also with a high (but not as high) rating. Ten Moons was the better deal!!!
Pros:
- Stunning location
- Large glass water jug in the room (which was refilled daily using a 5 gallon water bottle rather than multiple small plastic bottles). Great to see the hotel reducing the use of plastic!
- Great breakfast selection
- Food available all day
- Clean
- Staff helpful and friendly
- Life jackets, beach toys, snorkels, etc available for use for free
- Quiet location/very peaceful and relaxing
- Lovely sand (sand texture tends to vary in Koh Lipe however it was great here!)
- Walking distance or ferry ride to walking street and more livelier areas
Cons:
- One of the few hotels not showing a sign or communicating/educating tourists NOT to step on coral. The by-product is that there isn’t a lot of live coral to see although there is still a lot of fish life. By comparison, we saw a hotel further down actively promoting not to stand on coral with staff educating tourists
- No pool (although not needed as the sea area is more than ample to swim in)
- No kayaks (available for hire at THB200 per hour nearby, less than a minute walk away)
- Not for people who struggle with stairs (although there are a couple of villas on the beach without the use of stairs)
We would most certainly stay here again!
GGuest UserEnvironment: The environment is good, but the beach of the hotel is not good. There are a lot of corals, which are very piercing. My feet were scratched on the first day.
But the pool room is pretty good.
Sanitation: The guard room is OK, but there are many ants in the open-air swimming pool. There are also many flies when eating by the swimming pool.
It feels that there are very few people staying in this hotel, and the speakers are covered with dust.
Service: We booked a wedding anniversary at that time, and it was indeed decorated, but for such an expensive hotel, the hat placed on the bed was not given, and the beach bag also needed to be purchased. I was really uncomfortable when I checked out. The drinks and snacks bar was also charged. It is rare to find such a stingy hotel at this price.
But the hotel has its own APP for all activities, and you can ask for it if you have any needs.
Although the rooms are single-family houses, they are very close to each other. Playing in the swimming pool at night will affect people in other rooms, and you will not be allowed to play, which is also very disappointing. Overall, the cost performance is not high, just taking pictures
HHMMYGreat location if you're looking for a quieter location in Koh Lipe. Fantastic if you like watching the sunrise, and you can have your breakfast immediately after (nice buffet spread). The resort staffs are friendly and helpful. They provide shuttle service to The Walking Street in the evening and you can try free kayaking on the crystal clear water if snorkeling isn't your thing.
GGuest UserWe found everything we had hoped for in our Christmas getaway at Castaway Resort on Koh Lipe. Beautiful garden setting only steps from the beach. Amazing snorkelling right in front of the resort (but don't miss diving with Castaway Divers too). A lovely, attentive team takes great care of the resort and guests, we loved hanging out at the restaurant overlooking Sunrise Beach for hours on end. Castaway Resort quickly turned into our tropical home away from home for our 10 day stay. Super family friendly und unhurried atmosphere, even during their Christmas peak. We hope to be back! (We booked our stay+scuba diving directly via email and their fabulous reservations team handled everything perfectly, including our minivan/boat transfers).
PpiasureeAbsolutely amazing location. We’ve stayed in beachfront bungalow, spacious, clean, comfortable bed, had everything in the room more than we needed. There were indoor shower and outdoor shower, separated doors to go in room, through the front door and another directly to the bathroom (in case we came in from swimming all wet and covered with sand), so we did not dirty our room. Cold towels and fresh welcome drinks when we’ve checked-in, polite and friendly front desk staffs. When we’ve entered the room, it was cool with some aroma that made us feel relax. The breakfast was great, many choices of Thai foods and changed everyday. Staffs go out of their way to make us comfortable and feel at home. Beach in front of the hotel was beautiful, quiet, we can swim and snorkelling there. Walking street was near, we’ve walked there everyday, sometimes just for have some iced tea and thai pancake (Thai Banana Roti). Take a boat trip, it’s worth doing! Definitely recommended this hotel! Staffs are the best!
LLvquanquanO.oThere were very few reviews online, so I was a little nervous when I made the choice. However, after actually staying there for 4 days, I felt pretty good and the price-performance ratio was high. The location is right on Pattaya Beach. As long as you book your accommodation for the day online, he will pick you up at the pier holding the hotel sign and take your luggage for you. It's very close in two steps! Next to the famous Akira Hotel and close to the pedestrian street, there is a horse-killing chicken in the hotel. There is a swing at the door, and occasionally I sit there in a daze and look at the jelly sea, happy!
The facilities are definitely not as good as those of more expensive hotels, but I think they are enough. There are racks outside the door to dry clothes, and there are also hammocks. The only downside is that there are ants. I didn't find them in other expensive hotels where my friends stayed, but as long as you pay attention to it, don't leave food residues after eating in the house, which is still acceptable.
GGuest UserIt is situated between sunrise and sunset beaches with small but beautiful private beach with island view and golden sand. We had a parter pull view room. It was modern fubrished but with a zing of Thai elements. Very clean and filled with everything you could need. Staff is very helpful! Hotel picked us up from the speedboat and also gave us a ride back. Breakfasts are very European( which can be a plus or minus depends on your need) , so if you would like to try something local you need to go out outside. We had a chance to see most of the hotels on the island and this one is our favourite by a mile!
GGuest UserGorgeous! Let’s break it down: Room - we stayed in the deluxe Balinese hut and loved it. Didn’t have the outdoor shower like the Pattaya Mali but huge and clean. If I’m being super picky the shower could do with a bit more power but it is a small hotel on a small island so it’s fine! Comfy beds and regular fresh towels provided. Pool - we usually don’t use the pool as we are beach bums but it was THE perfect temperature. Very refreshing and cooling in the hot sun, with lovely foliage around giving a tropical vibe. Beach - stunning Lipe beach. As with most beaches on Lipe you do get the long tail boats parked out the front, but definitely more quiet than Pattaya side. Tide goes right out and exposes a lot of coral so beware if exploring. Loved the complimentary paddle boards and snorkels! Food - really good. Good choice for breakfast and ate most lunches here. Recommend the Massaman curry! Overall a beautiful tropical paradise. We would recommend and want to stay at the other Mali too! One thing: bring mozzie repellant.. the island seemed to be teeming with them!
JJourney22341495372I'm not used to writing negative reviews because I think I know how to choose accommodations that don't disappoint me. Unfortunately the San Pita did not satisfy me. The word resort is often abused in Thailand and this is certainly one of the cases like the 3 star hotel... The structure in the center of Ko Lipe is convenient to everything but in itself the island is so small that everything is close to everything... so ex post I would have chosen another structure near the beach and not near a mosquito-generating pond/landfill. As for the structure, we were in a 3-bed room on the ground floor next to a small swimming pool, I would say, suitable only for children. The room had a strong damp smell and the bathroom was separated from the rest by a transparent plastic sheet. A further problem was in the plumbing system whose random pipes started an unpleasant concert after use. Breakfast was also dull and we found the toaster always invaded by ants. I'm sorry for the people who manage the structure with commitment but it is not up to the standard indicated.
GGuest UserWe booked to stay in a fan cottage for 3 nights via the hotel’s own website which had a rate of 900THB per night which seemed better than that on booking engines. First impressions were that it’s a large ‘resort’ right on the beach next to where the speedboat ferries dock and adjacent to Walking Street which is 5 minutes walk away (though we heard no noise from it). There are a range of rooms- cottages with a/c and a block of rooms which also had a/c. There are about a dozen fan only cottages at the rear of the complex. Ours was rustic but clean with intact insect screens and a large bed. The bathroom was half open which was good for drying towels etc. All cottages have a balcony, ours was shaded by trees which kept the room cool though the fan worked well too and we actually slept better than we had in a/c rooms. Only downside to the room was no fridge. It had an old fashioned TV but who watches TV anyway on a Thai island?! Breakfast was included in the price- buffet style with Thai and western dishes. It was nothing special but eatable and enough to put you on until lunch. We liked Ko Lipe and were happy with the room so decided to stay for an extra 2 nights and that’s where we had problems. Again we booked on the hotel website and received a confirmation. We then received an email in broken English which we interpreted as saying the fan bungalows were all full and we would be ‘upgraded’ to an a/c room. We replied that we were already in the room so it would make more sense to upgrade someone else. After getting no response we attempted to clarify the situation with reception. I don’t speak Thai so can’t criticise people for not speaking a foreign language but when dealing with mostly European guests you would expect at least one member of staff to have the basics of English. Unfortunately not. We ended up in a confusion of Google translate messages with a teenage girl who was clearly sick (coughing, sneezing, red eyes and nose) and shouldn’t have been at work. I ended up speaking to ‘a manager’ on the mainland by phone but still couldn’t get any sense from them. Eventually we resorted to replying by email and were eventually told we could stay in the same room. You can go into any tour operator on Walking Street and find staff who speak excellent English. Why the hotel are unable to find staff with foreign language skills is beyond me. My guess is they are employing cheap intern labour from mainland tourism schools which is fine for basic check in and out but they should have at least one person who can communicate with guests if there’s a problem. The majority of rooms seemed empty when we stayed, the exception being the fan rooms which were very good value and always seemed booked out. Maybe the hotel could look at a way of turning off the a/c in some of the bungalows and selling them at a fan room rate? In summary, we were happy with the location of the hotel, the facilities and the room. The stay was spoilt somewhat by a disorgan
