Absolute best accommodation I’ve ever stayed in! We stayed in the Mai Wisha Villa and loved every single aspect, so many lovely spots to discover during our (much too short) stay. Unparalleled views and unique accommodations where you were a part of nature - sounds of the sea, picturesque sunsets, chirping birds, blankets of stars and more. We enjoyed the plunge pool overlooking the ocean, and loved being able to dive right in to the beautiful sea. To top it all off, AOV has tremendously friendly service; the staff seemed to truly enjoy working there. A highlight was an impromptu serenade from Wendl, one of our fantastic bartenders! We cannot wait to go back and discover more.

My husband and I just returned from our third stay at Aruba Ocean Villas. Our time there has been magical from start to finish. We stayed in Dushi Sue for three nights. Right before we arrived I read some questionable reviews of the resort, of Dushi Sue in particular. WTH is wrong with you people??? The villa is exquisitely appointed with comfortable furniture and one of a kind pieces. The AC was more than adequate for us and we slept very comfortably. We thought it was charming when a parakeet flew in to say hello! We lit a couple of citronella candles and used bug spray as a precaution but we didn't need it. For those who complained about bugs--HELLO! You're on a tropical island!!! And for the couple who asked for a TV--YOU ARE STAYING IN A ROMANTIC RESORT IF YOU NEED A TV YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG. Breakfast was delicious and served every day by the wonderful and smiley Cookie. We ate dinner at the Old Man and the Sea (onsite restaurant) all three nights and the food was off the charts. If you are lucky enough to be serenaded by the sweetest man on the island, Wendell, bring tissue! Although we love the location, beautiful villas, wonderful food and ambience it is the staff that keeps us coming back. Maria, Wendell, Zaldy, Cookie, Jaida, Judilla, Brenda (hilarious stories!) and Joy treat us like family and go above and beyond to make our time there unforgettable. We both work two jobs so we can afford to come here and it is well worth it. If you are looking for a magical place to connect with your significant other look no further. We love you guys and will see you next year!!

This place is absolutely beautiful! The service has been nothing but amazing. The rooms are super cute and the staff does their absolute best to make you happy. There are a few mosquitoes around but it is a jungle style resort so it’s to be expected and the citronella candles and the occasional bug spray does the trick. This place is the owners passion project and you can see it in how unique it is. This is your place to stay if you’re not a fan of the industrialized hotel scene. So peaceful and lovely. We stayed here for our honeymoon and are looking forward to spending anniversaries here!

Amazing experience all around. Incredibly responsive and wonderful staff - can’t say enough good things. The in-house restaurant, Old Man and The Sea, was a delight for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My wife and I came for our 20th wedding anniversary and stayed at the Orqueida room, located on the beach. Plenty of outside lounge areas, never too crowded or loud, a perfect quiet vacation was had. Next door in walking distance was The Flying Fishbone restaurant which was another delight. The area the villas are located is called Savaneta, and is a very quiet area compared to the more party atmosphere of Palm beach. Cab rides to the downtown area were around $35 USD and not a problem to arrange. Everyone we experienced all over the island were very kind and helpful and we never felt unsafe. People were happy and was a real eye-opener for a cynical NYer like myself. Highly recommend!!

If you r researching Aruba hotels as a whole, this is a boutique over water villa experience If u r into the Four Seasons/Ritz-Carlton (Which we usually are) , this might not be the place 4u unless u r adaptable w/open mind/free spirit r are slightly uninhibited highly recommend !For our 20th anniversary, we wanted 2 try an overwater villa experience w/all of the perks/ luxury! Well, we found it.. We stayed in the Mia Wisha.Comfortable/luxurious./tranquil..

Chupi was TERRIBLE. The staff was nice at the front desk & that's the most positive thing I can say. It was $600 per night and I would have been disappointed even if I paid $100 per night. I requested a refund and was given only 1 night discount when I was expecting at least half the stay... The room itself had a very large amount of water on the rug upon checking in and we asked Tahnee to confirm this upon our arrival so that we would not get blamed or held accountable for any damage to it. The rug has an odd smell, most likely as a result of it being so wet. The mosaic tile on the floor has many sharp edges, and resulted in my sister’s foot getting cut. While it wasn’t serious, she was bleeding which is not ideal while on vacation or otherwise. There had been a lot of construction directly outside of our room every day starting early in the morning. This includes sound of electrics saws, drills, also hammering, and audible conversation among the construction workers. This is not relaxing. There was a very strong unpleasant odor coming from the shower drain and also the bathtub drain, indicating possible issues with the septic or sewage system. We have rigorously followed the instructions of not flushing any toilet or anything unnatural as requested. The bathroom itself is very hot; we were unsure of leaving the door open to the bathroom as it doesn’t seem to be insulated and also given the odor. In addition, the handle in the bathroom was very loose and seems like it could come off the door which would leave someone trapped inside. In the past I have eaten at the restaurant where our included breakfast is supplied and the food quality seems to have declined from previous visits. As an example, we ordered yogurt and it was served with oranges cut up that had not been peeled and were in the yogurt. There seems to be an issue with consistency of the food— on the first day, they brought the wrong order; and then it was corrected but the eggs seemed to have no flavor. The yogurt on the first day was served with a side of honey, granola, and cinnamon and on the second day the yogurt was served but without the same sides. The refrigerator seems to have water leaking out of the bottom everyday; I have placed a towel next to it to absorb the run off. On the way into the property/parking, there seems to be what looks like a lake, and I was worried about the engine flooding out. This had been consistent every day. We had to service the room ourselves and asked that nobody enter as we noticed that there are no safeguards or protective footwear for the staff to keep sand out of the room from their shoes; we requested a broom to borrow from housekeeping so that we could manage keeping the sand out. While it’s understandable that we are on the beach, most places seem to put implement booties over shoes in order to keep outside dirt/sand from the floor. Finally, there is a duck pond upon entering past the front desk giving off an extremely bad smell.

We just returned from from magnificent resort and experience. we stayed in the Orquidea Beach Bungalow. Let me start with property itself. It took my breath away. It was stunning. It was like a mixture of shabby chic meets boho meets exotic hideaway. We travel 6 months a year and by far this was my most favorite in the world. I found it so quiet and peaceful. We were so relaxed. The water was crystal clear. The sand was spotless. I felt like we were the only guests in the resort. Our villa to us was in the best location and beach front with the most spectacular views day and night. We had a beautiful canopy bed, vintage bathtub inside the room and jacuzzi on the front porch. We had 2 chandeliers that were dimmable. My favorite part of the Villa was outdoor bathroom and shower. I found it amazing and stunning. Yes this an eco friendly resort but not lacking luxury and romance. We arrived to be greeted with Champagne, candles lit all over villa, fresh flowers, fridge stocked with drinks, and incredible ambiance. We had snorkel equipment and free access to use Kayaks, which we took daily to go over to sea glass island. Fresh towels daily and room service daily and included breakfast. The old man and sea restaurant was nothing short of romance, great service and excellent food. There is great bar attached as well. All service was excellent from check in to check out. We were able to barefoot the entire two weeks. Breakfast was delivered to either our villa or the on the beach restaurant. order had to placed by 6pm the previous day via whattsapp. There was a full breakfast menu to choose. Dinner has menu as well but does not change daily. They also offer lunch. I do suggest that you request the romantic overwater private dining experience for spectacular sunset views. There is live music nightly. The cons: Being an echo friendly they ask you to flush toilet paper. This was not a problem to us all all. Hotel includes bug spray which we did not need. Over villa was located beachfront and next to restaurant, at times the music is very loud. The hotel next door is a home thats rented and they have a sound system which people blast music most of the time. They speakers all over the property. The over water bungalows are set apart and very private and quiet. Most guests we were at property ll day. It was like a private retreat to us. I did prefer the beachfront villa verses verses the overwater villas. it just took by breath away. Resort is located on the other end of Aruba and not near Palm Beach....so no crowds.. We rented a car for two days to see the the side, lighthouse, murano glass blowing, donkey sanctuary and San Nicholas Murals, baby beach and Flamingo Beach and butterfly farm. We had the car the last two days so we can back to airport for flight home without using the hotel airport transfer. this was the most beautiful resort, peaceful ,relaxing romantic vacation we ever had.

We had a blast at Aruba Ocean Villas. The experience was such a unique one. We stayed in three different beach bungalows- Ella Marie, Joy, and Chupa. Each one was unique, yet very nice in its own cute way. The staff were amazing. We enjoyed Ms. Brenda, Zalby, Daniel, and many others whose name we did not remember! The daily breakfast was great. The scenery was amazing. Everything about our trip and the accommodations was amazing and I would definitely return!!

Truly an oasis. You are surrounded by the sea, Bamboo and ferns! The private, outside shower was my favorite treat. Aruba Ocean Villas is perfect for quiet relaxation and romance. The employees care about the guests and the environment. Thank you for the mangroves.
