One thing I learned after my stay: “far” really depends on where you’re coming from.
A friend who lives in West Surabaya told me this hotel was too far, but as a visitor, I found its Central Surabaya location incredibly convenient. It’s only minutes from Pasar Atom and Tunjungan Plaza, making it easy to explore the city without spending too much time in traffic.
The neighborhood is also a foodie’s dream. Having local favorites like President Fried Chicken and Depot Ibu Rudy nearby made the stay even more enjoyable.
If your itinerary includes Pakuwon Trade Centre in the west or Pakuwon City Mall in the east, expect a longer drive—but that’s simply the trade-off of staying in the city center. And if you do head east, I’d definitely recommend stopping by Park Shanghai. It’s a surprisingly cool place to wander around.
For anyone planning to explore Surabaya’s historic center, shopping districts, and culinary scene, I’m genuinely glad I chose this hotel.
