The Victoria Hotel

My wife and I travelled by train , the station is directly opposite, we arrived about 10.30, and stayed local until 12.00 when we went back to the hotel and entered through the bar door. I was met by the proprietor at the bar and asked if we could leave the overnight bag as we were to early for 15.00 check in. Our bag was locked away and we had a drink and a game of pool in the bar. While doing this I was asked our name and then he disappeared out the bar. He then reappeared with keys and paperwork and advised our room was available. We collected our bag and went up the stairs to floor 2 room 6, lift out of order, but not an issue. As was the bar , our room was warm and comfortable and looked newly refurbished, clean and comfortable. Excellent position for what Scarborough has to offer. Would definitely use this hotel again excellent value for money.

Was allocated room no 3 , please see pictures. Dirty , unkept , and unpleasant environment . Was moved to room no 12 , radiators did not work . The Manager went out of the Hotel and purchased a heater for me . Great bar area, but not very personal in the morning , no one there , just drop a key off in a pot , and off you go.

Popped in for a quick pint after my train ride down from Newcastle, came in for the football but stayed for the music playlist, was genuinely going to leave to find a bar with the football but couldn’t as every song kept me in 😅 went up to the bar to ask who was in charge of it, Charlotte knows her music and was really polite, a top experience, me and my friends will be coming back, lovely decor filled with British history and gamma ray on tap, couldn’t ask for more!
