We had amazing time at the hotel from start to finish we were made very welcome all staff were extremely helpful Joe manager couldn’t do it and was always saying about the place helping when needed our room was excellent and the food was lovely housekeeping kept us stocked up with everything we needed we cannot fault this holiday or this hotel at all.

The Esplanade Hotel is in a lovely Location overlooking the bay a short walk into town and for bus and train services .we had a few problems during our stay but Joe the manager was amazing very helpful. The the food was ok ,rooms were clean but very dated .very good value for money

First evening our meals very slow to come out to our groups tables waitress service was poor plates of food slammed on the table instead of placed and then passed plates of food to us to pass on to the next person instead of waitress placing plates of food in front of each person sewage smells in my groups rooms no hot running water in some rooms tvs not working bar staff were ok reported problems to hotel manager he kept making excuses up even he came up to our table to collect plates asking ppl at my table to pass plates to him that is wrong and he should know better overall very poor show as put me my partner and our group from visiting and staying at this hotel again service did improve alittle bit after first evening meal but only a little

Spent 5 nights at the Esplanade Hotel,there 10 of us from Portsmouth,we have visited all 12 of Dashies hotels,all in all the experience was a good one .Problems with hot water and the showers,food was ok,the dinning area did have a bit of a problem with flies,rooms were clean but dated ,staff were very good and the manager was very helpful with any problems we had ,for the price we paid thought it was value for money

We upgraded our room which was lovely G1 our friend waited for her case which did not arrive and in the end found it on its own still on the ground floor so had to carry it up two flights of stairs herself. Her Tv never worked till the last night kept reporting it and nothing was done her room 325 was shabby with dirty windows We have stayed at lots of Daish hotels but the food was awful and portions have been cut down deserts ok. It’s a lovely building but in need of repair. The barman was excellent need more staff like him. If you make the meals better it would help a lot. Don’t think we will visit Scarborough again.

The room a little dated but comfortable, tv and charger points for phones etc. Food choices are good but small portions. Friendly staff, decent bar prices. I would recommend using Daish coach holidays for best value. Bingo and entertainment relaxed. Room is checked daily. Only one lift, so go early to get onboard.

5 day coach holiday,it the main good ,I had a single room with walk in shower a comfortable clean bed ,being on second floor windows so dirty couldn't realy see great view.food was basic but good ,but process of serving was a bit haphazard,not the staffs fault though feel they need to change to a more efficient method.

Self drive for 4 nights Hotel room was warm clean and served its purpose The staff are friendly nice and very approachable. Good choice of food which was very nice. Great location with free car parking I found the drinks reasonably priced for a hotel. Also the entertainment was good and they had bingo which some people enjoy and it didn't cost a fortune to play. All in all I have enjoyed my break and would definitely come again

Very good, Menu needs updating , staff very pleasant and helpful, entertainment good and bingo if so required , very good for walks on the South Cliff top, but can be a bit on the incline side if you walk across the bridge towards the Grand Hotel and get the cliff lift to the beach front.
